Mic 4:6-13
“Arise, daughter Zion, and I will make your horns like iron and your hooves like brass, and you will smite the peoples to pieces; )
1. The Day of Salvation
“In that day” (4:6)
Saint Augustine said that the three virtues of a Christian are humility first, humility second, and humility third.
The book of Micah tells us to be humble, and despite our responsibility to show us humility, it is strangely unknown to many.
Not because the book is small, nor because it is in the middle of the book.
Although it has not been emphasized much to us, there is an essential part in our hearts, which is the words of 5:2, the birth of the Messiah.
This word is so well known that not only those who read Micah, but also those who can't read Micah are led to believe it because of it.
Micah 4 is the outpost just before the prophecy of the coming of the Messiah in chapter 5, and it says that that day will be the day of judgment and the day of restoration.
Judges were unable to exercise justice, prophets were unable to proclaim the truth of God, and rulers lost their authority to rule by bribes or powers. , the country fell into chaos in such a situation that balances and checks were broken (Chapter 3).
On that very day, at that very moment, judgment on one side and salvation on the other, with judgment and salvation and restoration at the same time, is the gist of the prophecy of the last days of the prophet Micah.
In that day Jerusalem will fall and the people will be scattered, but God's people will be gathered and the day will come when the Messiah will reign over his people again on Mount Zion.
The day of destruction of the unbeliever is the day of salvation of the believer.
Judgment Day is a day of mercy and grace for believers.
But this grace is given to those who endure to the end.
Even if it is difficult, do not become discouraged or betray your faith, but persevere and endure to the end.
We gird ourselves with humility, persevere to the end, and do God's will.
2. Will be there on that day
“I gather the lame, the outcasts and those whom I have brought to trouble” (4:6).
On that day, which is both a day of judgment and a day, it is God's mercy.
If it is said that there will be only judgment on that day, we are all judged.
He is the one who should be cursed.
It's all hell.
But on that day, God's mercy would be there.
‘Mercy’ refers to receiving love for those who cannot be loved.
The forgiveness of those who cannot be forgiven is called mercy.
This mercy is manifested in gathering the lame and the outcast and the afflicted.
A useless person who is not a healthy person, a person who is completely unacceptable. He said he would gather those who were driven out of Jerusalem and taken into captivity, and those who had no hope in tribulation.
In the name of Christ, we will gather those who suffered, those who suffered because of Jesus, those who shed tears for the Lord, and those who labored for the gospel.
Chapter 4 declares that there will be mercy in the Messiah.
But those who are in Christ have mercy, and those who are outside Christ have no mercy.
While scholars are studying what is the key part of Paul's message, opinions are divided as to whether it is the idea of God or the idea of a god of profit. Some people say that it is union with Christ, and some people say that it is rather than showing God's righteousness. Some claim to emphasize the mercy of salvation, but a central part of Paul's theology is in christ 'in Christ'.
In Paul's epistles, he writes so many words that he can't even say anything except "in Christ."
“I have become a new person in Christ. pardoned in Christ. A new heart is born in Christ, and you can love others.”
All are in Christ.
It is wrong to love outside of Christ.
Growing up outside of Christ is also wrong.
Therefore, it is in Christ the heavenly Father that we gather the lame, the outcasts, and those who cause tribulation.
Are you sure it's in the Greek drawing? In order to be in Christ, it is not a theory.
There must be a life that follows his word and lives by doing his word.
Those who have received God's mercy should live according to God's will.
1). Remnant
“Let the lame become a remnant of a people” (4:7a)
After all the chestnut oak trees are cut down, there are stumps left over.
It will sprout from the remaining stump.
Elijah knew that the prophets had been killed and all the saints had been killed, and that I was the only one alive.
Even if it seems that our country is all ruined, everything is messed up, and it seems that the United States is falling apart, there are still many people who pray all night and fast when they go to America.
Even though all Europeans seem to be rotten and Catholics seem to be all rotten, new shoots are sprouting up there too.
Therefore, you should not be arrogant.
'Our church is the best. What I belong to now is the best.’ It should not be.
God has placed a remnant everywhere.
The remnant are the lame, the wounded, and those who were wounded by fighting the devil.
He said, “I will make him a remnant of people.” This is also mercy.
He promises to make those who were driven out into captivity a strong nation, and a tower for the flock.
The power of Jerusalem, the kingdom of God, and the kingdom of David will return to the tower of the flock.
David comes out of this flock.
David is not only a symbol of the king, but also a symbol of the Messiah.
Jerusalem is restored.
When that day comes, the people who were lost will come back, those who were driven out will come back, the lame will be left behind, and they will gather again in the midst of God's grace.
This is God's grace. It's mercy.
You cannot come before God by your own strength.
From childhood we have left nothing but bitter roots.
There is nothing to be proud of.
We are saved because of the mercy of Jesus who came to Bethlehem.
The kingdom, glory, and center of God is Jerusalem.
You must win the victory in your life of faith while looking at Jerusalem today.
2). Pain of childbirth
“Daughter Zion, like a woman in childbirth, labor and give birth to her” (4:10a).
It prophesies us that before the kingdom of God comes, there will be severe pain, torment, and exile.
A woman who has conceived cannot give birth to life without going through labor.
When God wants to give us good things, it often comes with great difficulties.
When we are in trouble, we cry out.
‘Why are you crying now?’ The king, the source of peace, protection, and supply, is gone, and there is no other place to turn to.
There is no one to consult with.
‘Are you suffering like a woman in labor because all such people are dead?’ But mothers must labor hard to give birth.
If not, both mother and child die.
Through the cry of repentance, God promised that Israel would be born of new life.
They say that you will be taken away in the field and taken to Babylon to be saved there.
In other words, only when suffering reaches the extreme, salvation is given.
What is the reason why He does not save us before being taken into captivity, because we do not know the source of salvation and are not thankful.
Less appreciation is the problem.
Only when they are brought out after being taken captive in Babylon can human beings know that it is God's grace.
If you realize and give thanks to God's grace, you will not suffer even physical pain.
Many people do not know the heart, will, and schemes of God like this, and they accuse those who are being tempted.
“Now many Gentiles are gathered together, saying to you, Zion is defiled, and we want to see it with our own eyes.” Even the Gentiles do not know the will of God.
They know that they have conquered God's people by taking them captive.
They do not know the will of the Lord, nor do they know the captives, nor do they know the captives.
But God will gather all of God's people, just as he gathers sheaves of grain on a threshing floor to his own barn.
If you only dwell in Greek Doan, you will not be drawn to the devil.
Even after committing a sin, we must quickly return to Jesus.
Even if you sin ten times and cry, there is still hope.
However, you should also know that the longer the recall, the more punctures.
One day you will perish because of that sin.
You must not repeat the sin.
He carries a fountain pen in his white shirt.
The fountain pen leaked and got ink.
I take it home and wash it hard with laundry soap to remove all the ink stains.
It became clean.
It's a stupid life, so I plug it in again
It also washes dry again, and after that, I should not use it or plug it in, but I plug it in again because stupid life is convenient. I asked again.
There are many good laundry soaps, so they fall out nine times.
But the tenth is how to drill a hole. This is the problem.
No matter what sin you have committed, if you come before God and repent in the name of Jesus, He will forgive you seven times, eight times, nine times, and suck the tenth time, but a hole will be drilled in the tenth. Someday you will die.
It will ruin you because of it.
I hope that today will be a day of restoration before the Lord, a day that will be blessed with mercy after returning from the suffering, hardship, and casting out that God has given us.
