Title Only by the Gospel (November 5)

(…) The most productive and rewarding life of the Christian life is evangelism. When you get married, you and your spouse have children, and when you sow seeds, you reap a harvest. Also, just as a person plays the role of a person when he becomes an adult, a Christian must bear fruit when he matures. That is the fruit of evangelism. If I come to church, come to know Jesus, and receive the grace of salvation, I will preach Jesus and boast of the church. Not by doing it, but by doing it yourself. That is evangelism.(…) Today’s text is talking about how Paul evangelizes. I hope that it will be the wisdom of evangelism to all of you who are preparing for a “happy invitation”.
① He delivered a simple message.
Paul was a legalist. He was a Pharisee. He was a learned man and a persecutor of Christians. Then he met Jesus in Damascus and became a Christian. A person who was going around to arrest those who believed in Jesus began to evangelize while testifying that Jesus was the Christ. (…) Paul did not do it with the wisdom of words when he preached. Only he preached the gospel of the cross of Jesus Christ.(…) When we try to evangelize, we fall into the trouble of ‘what to say to others and how to persuade them?’ However, if you try to do it with words and wisdom of words, evangelism will not go well. This is because the way of salvation cannot be fully explained with words. (…) In preaching Jesus, I do not use my words and knowledge, but rather show my life that believes in Jesus. This shows the power of the cross, the power of those who live by the word. Paul didn't do it with the wisdom of words, but only the power of the cross, the word that was revealed in my life.
②Paul's evangelism was “only Jesus”.
Paul was a considerable intellectual and a philosopher of high rank. If Paul had preached Jesus philosophically, his epistles, such as Corinthians, Romans, and Galatians, would not have been well read. Paul confessed, “I have decided not to know anything except the cross of Jesus Christ,” and preached only Jesus. There is no cross, no suffering, no service, no Jesus. The church must learn to obey the words of Jesus. The church must focus all its powers on the essence In the church, except for sin, the cross, judgment, and the end, what was central to the church? The Apostle Paul said, “I only preached Jesus.” To others, he seems like a foolish and clogged person, but his evangelism revealed the power of God and the wisdom of God.
③Paul preached by the power of the Holy Spirit.
He says, “My words and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in the manifestation and power of the Holy Spirit.” They depended only on the power of God. The prophets of the Old Testament did not use rhetoric and did not use rhetoric to speak the word of God, and they did not speak logically or listen to others. He preached the word that God had given him. Evangelism is not done by educated people, but by honest people. Evangelism is something you can do and not do. Rely on God and preach the word.(…)
Someone came out on the Sunday of all mobilization evangelism and liked it, so he came out a couple of times and didn't come out. During the next evangelism, I met him and evangelized. “Come to our church!” "Yeah! I'm leaving, will you grant me my wish?" “What?” “Would you like to have lunch with me for lunch?” What do you think? You know how hard it is to come to church! Don't leave your new family alone! These days, in the left pocket of a military commander, there is a list of soldiers of interest. You must also have an interested church member in your heart. Please be with the Lord only for the gospel. Amen.
