Title Only You
Isaiah is a prophet of God who was born around 770 B.C. and passed through the four kings: Uzziah, Jotham, and Hezekiah.
Isaiah pointed out the corruption and corruption of the nations of Israel and Judea, warned of destruction, and spoke of the signs of the coming of the Messiah. For the next three years, naked and barefoot, he cried out God's warnings and promised God's support to those who believed and obeyed. In particular, chapter 61 is a prophecy of the Second Coming with a brief mention of the Messiah's mediation, and clearly states that the First Coming Lord will come as the Savior and the Second Coming Lord as the Judge.
In verse 6, the word “only you” is found. Of course, these words are Isaiah's cry to the people of Israel at that time. Knowing that the word ‘only you’ is God’s command to us living today, we would like to share some stories with you today and long for that grace.
First, in verses 1 and 2 it says, "The Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor." This was the text of the Bible when the Lord was speaking in the temple in Luke 4:16. It has always been the Lord's command to bring the good news to the poor, the brokenhearted, the prisoners, and the mourners.
This good news is to give wreaths to the poor, the brokenhearted, the captives, the prisoners, and the mourners, to replace their ashes, and the oil of joy to replace their sorrows, and the garments of praise to mourn their sorrows. means to substitute. There are three comforts for those who mourn: wreaths instead of ashes, joy instead of sorrow, and praise instead of sorrow.
Since we received these three comforts when we mourn, we should also give them these three comforts.
If we go on, it is written, "that he might be called the tree of righteousness, the one planted by the LORD to show his glory." We are the trees of righteousness, planted by the Lord, who will show his glory, which he has planted.
Therefore, we, first, are the ones who have to deliver the beautiful news to the earth.
Second, he is the one who will show the glory of the Lord.
Third, in the text, He said, "We will rebuild the places that have been devastated for a long time, we will rebuild the places that were destroyed from old times, and we will repair the ruins of cities that have been destroyed from generation to generation." It means that we need to revive and grow the city and our hearts that were devastated by captivity.
A field overgrown with weeds is silent. The heart of a believer without the Word of God is a desolate heart. The Holy Spirit cannot dwell in a desolated heart, and the Word of the Lord cannot dwell there.
A devastated heart must be plowed again to make a field. Dilapidated workplaces need to be changed again. Are our hearts still desolated? Just as weeds and stones are removed from a desolate land to make soft soil, so we must enrich our dead hearts with the Word, prayer, and the Holy Spirit.
Fourth, verse 6 says, "But you will be called priests of the LORD. People will call you ministers of our God." Jehovah's priests and God's ministers are all in line with the meaning of serving God.
We should note here that God makes the believers whom He has saved work. God's purpose in appointing workers and entrusting them with duties is to make them do the work. If you couldn't do the Lord's work last year, you must do it this year.
We are all volunteers. Whether you are a professor, farmer, fisherman, doctor, doctor, lawyer, miner, or politician, whatever your job in this world, your main job is to serve God and glorify God.
Teaching is a side job for a teacher, and serving God through teaching is a main job. A doctor's main job is to serve God well through healing. A merchant's second job is to make money, and his main job is to earn money and use it to serve God. Farming is a side job for a farmer, and it should be his main job to serve God well through farming.
Fifth, verse 9 says, “I will make known their descendants among the nations, and their descendants among all the peoples, and everyone who sees them will acknowledge that they are the children of the LORD.” Descendants blessed by Jehovah, yes. The people of Israel are a people blessed by the Lord.
Now, the nation that believes in Jesus is prospering, and the nation that believes in Jesus is prospering. Although our country is already in ruins, God showed mercy because of the prayers, faith, and love-filled evangelism of the saints who fervently believed in Jesus. You are a descendant blessed by the Lord.
The world is dark, but as long as the light does not go out, darkness can be conquered. The world is rotten, but if salt has not lost its flavor, it can prevent corruption.
In Joshua 5:1, there is a saying that the Israelites who came out of Egypt were weak and weak, but with God's help, they were victorious wherever they went. Even in the wilderness, the Gentiles said that because of the Israelites, their chatter was cool and their hearts melted and they lost their minds. Because God protected them.
If you go to Cheongyang, Chungcheongnam-do, there is a mountain called Chilgapsan, and there is a monument at the top and the following inscription under the title ‘Cheongyang Hyangyak’.
First, it is the virtuous business that encourages each other to build virtue; second, it is a supreme reward that corrects wrongdoing; third, it is servitude that fellowships with each other in courtesy and good morals; and fourth, that it helps each other in difficult situations. This should not be thought of as being limited only to the regulations of the perfumery. It can be said that it is a code of practice in which the members must take the lead and set an example.
The meaning of God giving us health, giving us inheritance, giving us a home, and granting us wonderful thoughts is that we should glorify God by praising the Lord.
Let's not reconsider the past. Let's not dwell on the past. The past ends with the past.
The past sins and transgressions were exchanged for a new resolution for the new year at the Song Gu-Young-Shin family candlelight prayer meeting on December 31st. In the new year, we must be determined to do both qualitative improvement and quantitative growth of our church. Last year, I reluctantly led a life of faith, but now I have to make the decision to become a mature believer. I hope that you will become a mature believer who comes forward and evangelizes rather than the faith that is attracted.
Verse 10 of the conclusion says, "I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, and my soul will rejoice in my God." We pray that these confessions will come out of our mouths. Amen.
