The society God desires is a society in which truth and justice are realized. It is a society in which rights are guaranteed and the socially disadvantaged are protected at the same time. God is the God of all people and at the same time protects the weak. The text contains the heart of God who is preparing so that unjust things do not happen. When will we become unhappy?
1. It will be unfair if your rights are taken away from you (verse 14).
“Do not move your neighbor’s borders” means not to take other people’s things and possessions lightly. Everyone has their own territories and boundaries in life over which they can exercise control. However, if such ownership and control are not guaranteed, it will be unfair to those who do not have the power to protect their own. It is His will to enjoy the blessings of life that God has given us and to live by exercising our individual rights. It is the life of the people of the kingdom of God to acknowledge and respect each other. We must not take away the possessions of the weak through personal greed or power. The purpose of our life should be to cherish the spiritual, spiritual, and material possessions God has given us and to produce abundant fruit through them.
2. It is unfair when the truth is turned away. (Verses 15-19)
The trial system was designed to cover the strife. This is to uncover the truth through a process called trial in an objective place. The Bible says that at least two or three people can testify before they can sue. We also strongly urge you not to testify falsely. Humans lie easily to achieve selfish ends or out of fear of losing their place. Satan is the father of lies. Satan distorts the truth through lies. Please take a look and see if we are not succumbing to Satan's schemes and lying. Lying is the most hated sin of God. To keep the truth, you must be a courageous saint.
3. It is unfair when justice is ignored.
If you intentionally harass or harm another person, you must take responsibility for it. The Bible tells us not to show mercy to those who have sinned intentionally. Intentional here includes not only conspiring and putting into action a sinful act, but also not repenting of one's sinful act thereafter. The Bible speaks of this as the 'lex talionis', that is, life for life and an eye for an eye. This is to prevent further crimes, to compensate for the feelings of those who have been harmed, and to bring judgment on their sins. It is justified to hurt others and punish those who do wrong. Just as perpetrators have human rights, victims also have rights to be protected. The most important thing is for God's justice to be realized in the world.
There are people who abuse human rights and the legal system. Concerns about the rich get poorer are growing. It is not easy to prevent injustice from happening in a world full of evil. However, the saints must exert their efforts to create a just world. Because this is the image that God had dreamed of.
