Title Past, Present, Future/Deuteronomy 1:9-11
We have literally returned the eventful year back to the historical chapter and welcomed a promising new year.
Over the past year, there have been so many news that surprised us.
Above all, the old government withdrew and a new government came into power.
However, the appearance of the president stepping down was so lonely, he sent his children to prison and went into a house that was repaired with a lot of money, but the back view made the people sad.
Young people like the IT information revolution put the candidate they supported to the seat of the president with the power of information and communication, but they made those who supported and seated them smile, making it a country where the people worry about the president. .
It was a year in which more refined words were disappointing not only as a child but also as a president.
This was the case with the Daegu subway arson on February 18th.
It was a dark year for the domestic economy.
Although there were not particularly many suicides, suicide due to credit card debt made the people sad.
The father, who drove cattle to North Korea, paved the way between the two Koreas, but the son who succeeded his father started an ambitious business to plant capitalist industries and technologies in North Korea, but his suicide made the people sad.
Not only that, the news of the war from Iraq made us sad. The war that started on March 29th was devastated on April 19th, in a month, and Hussein was captured, but bombs, terrorism and killings still do not stop. .
The fact that more than 20,000 people died in the earthquake in Iran is also sad news we heard as we went through the year.
Especially in Korea, whenever the news about political slush funds broke out, people couldn't keep their mouths shut, and the slush fund problem ended up being a problem for next year.
Even though it is a country where the rule of law is, the law of swarms is one aspect of Korea in 2003, which says that if you run into a group and fight against it, it will become a law.
That's right. The year has come to an end as we passed through a dark and long tunnel, but the sad reality is that the end is still dimly open.
But there are many examples that gave us hope in 2003.
Statistics that Korean scholars are active in various parts of the world,
The International Universiade held in Daegu, Korea is now emerging as an IT powerhouse.
Nevertheless, we have finally welcomed the new year.
In this historical time, I would like to give a speech entitled Past, Present and Future.
1. Let's look at the past.
The past nine years have been the time to lay the foundation stone and lay the foundation.
(Deuteronomy 1:9) Then I will say to you, saying, I cannot bear your burdens alone.
2. Look at the present.
Now is the time to experience God's grace.
(Deuteronomy 1:10) Today you are as numerous as the stars in the sky, because the LORD your God has multiplied you.
Yahweh has made you prosperous: as if God intervened and increased their numbers and lives to become a great nation.
Stars in the Sky: It is said that the number of stars in the sky is about 3,000.
But there are many more uncountable stars. It is said that there are 100 billion stars in our galaxy alone.
And since there are more than 14,000 universes in this universe, the number cannot be counted or found.
3. Let's think about the future.
Look at verse 11 of today's text.
These are my words of the year that I chose during the last Songgu-Young-Sin worship service.
I read and meditated on these words almost every morning.
These verses are prayers for the future rather than the present.
(Deuteronomy 1:11) May the LORD, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times more numerous than they are today, and bless you as he has promised you.
Dear saints,
Still, we have a promise from God.
God of your ancestors: Proof that this promise is the most reliable.
It is because of the historical fact that their ancestors crossed the Red Sea when they came out of Egypt and ate in the wilderness for 40 years.
God makes it a thousand times greater than it is now: Even now, God has greatly received the grace of God.
The family of 70 people became 2 million troops.
This is the promise of a thousand fold.
I hope you have big dreams in 2004.
Wishing you a thousand fold blessings.
And I pray in the name of the Lord that there will be a beginning and a fulfillment of that thousandfold promise.
