Title Paul's Prayer (Ephesians 03:14:19)
In other words, it is a verse that talks about the prayer topics that the pastor most wants to ask for for his loved ones.
Through the prayers of this text, Paul clearly tells us the important parts of our lives that we as believers should strive for.
He taught me what to think first, what to strive for, and how to live.
Today, focusing on Paul's prayer, we would like to examine the important life virtues that we believers should strive for in our lives and share grace with them.
1. First of all, Paul prays for the health of the souls of the Ephesians.
In verse 16, the Apostle Paul says, according to the riches of his glory, strengthen those within you with power through his Holy Spirit.
Here Paul prays for the health of the inner man.
What everyone cares about is the health of the outer person, that is, the health of the body.
However, Paul is praying for the health of the soul and the health of the inner person, not this outward man, that is, the health of the body.
Paul is seeking and knowing the true order of health.
The true order of health is the health of the soul -> the health of the mind (mind) -> the health of the body.
The word that taught this order well is 3 John 1:2, “I pray that all things may go well with your soul and you may be in good health.”
If the stability of the soul is lost -> the mind is unstable -> the disease of the body comes.
Ex) Business is going well, so I miss Sundays -> Go to a drinking party Crime -> My heart is anxious -> I hate going to church -> I end up hurting my health and on the verge of bankruptcy -> Tax inspector warning -> Let’s meet someone to help on Sunday -> Come to church and pray Heal->Health recovery
Do you want to be healthy?-First, the inner person must be strong.
A person who is strong in spirit is a person who is healthy in all his life.
How can this inner man be strengthened? 1) The text says that it is through the power of the Holy Spirit.
This refers to the filling of the Holy Spirit, and it is possible through prayer.
2) The food and nutrients that make the soul healthy are the Word of God.
Man does not live by bread alone, but by the word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
This is the teaching of Jesus Christ.
3) To keep the soul healthy is a life of godliness
1 Timothy 4:8 Physical exercise is of little benefit, but godliness is beneficial in all things.
I have a promise for your present life and for the next
4) Keeping the soul healthy and healthy requires proper exercise, that is, service and devotion.
All.
2. Second, Paul prays that Christ will be in the hearts of the saints.
In verse 17 of the text, let Christ dwell in your hearts through faith, the Greek word for existence is (katoikesai), which means to live, to dwell.
In other words, they serve and live as hosts, not guests.
There are many cases among our members that we see the Lord as our guest, not our host.
They hate interference and only report results.
Ex) How much filial piety is it to listen to and consult with parents when serving their parents?
think about whether
In the text, Paul 1) said that the saints should have the Lord in their hearts and always consult and live.
All.
2) You need an attitude of obedience to always follow the will of the Lord.
3) I need the consciousness that the Lord is always by my side (the Lord's consciousness).
You can't live recklessly in front of your parents.
different.)
3. Third, Paul prays to know the love of Christ.
In verse 18 of the text, “Able to know the love of Christ, which surpasses knowledge, with all the saints” shows that Paul wanted all the church members in Ephesus to know the love of Jesus Christ.
Because 1) He who truly knows the love of Jesus Christ cannot leave Him,
2) Those who truly know the love of Jesus Christ obey the words of Jesus,
3) Those who truly know the love of Jesus Christ will practice the love of Jesus.
Because.
To be loved, to love, and to live with love.
4. Finally, Paul seeks the fullness of the Ephesians.
May you be filled with all the fullness of God (19).
This prayer means that all of the above-mentioned virtues of the saints are not fulfilled at once, but gradually, like water is filled, in stages.
It's not like it's getting cold, but it's praying that you continue to live a life of persevering and doing your best until it's all done, until it's completely filled.
He spoke of a life of constant persistence and perseverance, starting from one step at a time of long standing, a thousand miles.
Therefore, be more diligent in your faith, by virtue, knowledge,
For temperance, patience, patience with godliness, godliness with brotherly kindness, brotherly kindness with love
Supply (2 Peter 1:5-7)
In the end, this prayer is 1) Live slowly and patiently as if you were walking with a bull.
2) Live with a goal.
3) Don't stop halfway. is the word
Dear saints,
1. Become saints with a healthy soul.
2. Always take Christ as Lord, serve and follow Him.
3. Let's live a life of true love by receiving, giving, and living the love of Christ.
4. Let's continue to work hard and become full.
