Sermons for Preaching

Title Pentecost (Acts 2:1-5)

As a result of the coming of the Holy Spirit on the disciples on the Day of Pentecost, they were not only baptized with the Holy Spirit, but also filled with the Holy Spirit. The incident of the descent of the Holy Spirit was a watershed in the lives of the disciples. They appeared in a completely different form than before. We will try to think of these disciples' changes in four ways through the Word.

The first was speaking in tongues.

Verse 4 says that all of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Luke was the first to mention tongues in describing the phenomenon of the coming of the Holy Spirit. The tongues of the text had the function of witnessing to all the people in Jerusalem, and also had the function of showing 'the great works of God'. You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judah and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. As a result of the coming of the Holy Spirit, he began to speak in tongues.

Second, there is spiritual enlightenment.

Third, you have courage.

The night that Jesus was arrested, all the disciples ran away. Take the case of Peter. He accompanied the Lord as a disciple for three years. However, he was not convinced that Jesus was the Christ.

Three times in Pilate's court, he denied knowing Jesus and even cursed. However, as a result of the coming of the Holy Spirit, there was no fear. The power of the Holy Spirit changes people. He accomplishes the work of transforming a cowardly and cowardly person into a courageous person.

Fourth, it bears fruit.

In John l5, through the parable of the vine, Jesus taught the saints the secret of living a fruitful life. The secret is none other than that we in Jesus and Jesus in us. Abiding refers to the filling of the Holy Spirit. Those who have not experienced only the layer of the Holy Spirit cannot bear fruit.

The filling of the Holy Spirit is not continuous. Get out of discouragement, repent of your life to God and ask for only the Holy Spirit layer again. God will give only the layer of the Holy Spirit to the believers who seek Him, so that they can become servants of Christ that the world cannot handle.
