Active from the beginning of Jesus' public life to A.D. 27-68, during the reign of the Roman emperor Nero (A.D. 54-68). This was the time when the early church, which was born with the coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost after the public ministry of Jesus Christ, started from Jerusalem and expanded throughout the Roman Empire. It was also a time when the early church suffered various trials due to the religious persecution of Christianity and the political persecution of the Roman Empire.
