co-worker
Philemon 1:1-3
I pray in the name of the Lord that God's great grace and blessings be with you.
I think that those who love the Lord, who love the Church of the Lord, and who love the saints are gathered here.
If we come together for the same idea, the same thing, and work together for the same purpose, we will be called co-workers.
However, as shown at the outset, the recipient is multi-person.
If we look carefully here, we can find valuable features.
First: Beautiful greetings from loved ones.
1. Paul's Introduction to Himself
Verse 1 “Paul and Timothy, who were prisoners for Christ Jesus,”
1) He is a prisoner of the Gospel (Jesus Christ)
2) Those who are imprisoned because of the gospel (Jesus Christ).
3) It is a glorious thing to be confined to fulfill the mission of proclaiming the gospel.
Therefore, Paul's greetings are sincere and are the greetings of the Lord Holy Spirit.
2. Greetings to Philemon, a co-worker of the gospel
Even though money-making co-workers are brothers, it often ends in an uncomfortable relationship.
1) Co-workers for the gospel have fellowship of utmost trust and love.
2) All believers are co-workers through the gospel.
3) Therefore, we become one in the gospel and become one for the sake of the gospel.
Therefore, deep trust and love must persist between the saints, overcoming all problems in life.
3. Archipus, a soldier of the gospel
In the text, it is expressed as “Achippus, who was a soldier with us…”
1) This means a warm community relationship.
2) This is a co-worker in suffering.
3) This is a co-worker in the mission of pleasing the Lord without being attached to one's own life.
Therefore, the fellowship of love is exchanged naturally without artificial effort between people who have a sense of community of passionate love and new life.
Second: A sincere greeting of blessing
1. This is a greeting to pray for the grace of the Lord God.
Verse 3 “…”
1) This is not a courtesy greeting.
2) The source of grace and peace is the Lord Jesus Christ.
3) Humans live in the gifts of the Lord without any merit.
Therefore, human beings live according to God's choice and absolute sovereignty.
2. This is a greeting to pray for the peace that the Lord gives.
1) Peace is reconciliation with God as a result of grace.
2) When your soul prospers, you will gain true prosperity and spiritual integrity.
3) You will get health in life.
Therefore, the peace that the Lord gives is an eternal thing that no one in the world can take away.
Most people like to elevate or elevate themselves.
Others, on the other hand, have a tendency to downplay.
But Christ was exalted as the Savior of all mankind by humbled Himself to the point of death.
I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that we can learn the way of humility of the Greeks and build up the beauty of being a co-worker in everything.
