Many of the songs we sing are lyrics that thank God for His love and praise His grace. But do we meditate deeply on the lyrics of that praise and sing it with all our heart? Thank you for the love of God who gave your life to us and I hope it will be a time to embrace the heart of Christ.
1. A pure heart through the forgiveness of sins (verse 5)
Believers must imitate Jesus Christ. In Christianity, the process is described as ‘sanctification’. The Lord is righteous, holy, and pure. However, after the fall of Adam, man could not be freed from sin. Sin cannot be solved by human power. Even the apostle Paul had a sinful heart before he met the Lord. But when he met the Lord, he sincerely repented and all his sins were forgiven. And I became a devoted servant of the Lord.
Have we had a time of complete repentance? The Lord is waiting for souls who repent and confess today. When we sincerely repent, our unclean sins can be forgiven and we can embrace the Lord's pure, holy, and righteous heart.
2. Jesus humbled (verse 8)
Although Jesus took on the image of God, he did not take for granted that he was equal to Him. Rather, he emptied himself and humbled himself to become a servant. (Verses 6-8) Before dying on the cross, the Lord himself washed the feet of his disciples. (John 13:4) The saints must imitate the humble heart of Jesus. But what about us? Do you become arrogant with knowledge, status, wealth, power, etc., and ignore and treat the weak? There is no small person in the Church of God. Therefore, no matter what situation the saints are in, they should obey the humble heart of Jesus and serve others humbly. When we become like Christ, our lives will overflow with joy.
3. Jesus' love for man (verse 11)
Jesus loved humans who were stained with sin. And you had pity. So He gave up all his glory and authority and came into the world to save mankind. He suffered all kinds of hardships and hardships from humans and even gave up his life. In his actions, we can see the heart of a loving and responsible parent to the end. Jesus could not see His children perish. This is the heart of Jesus Christ toward us. Sometimes we misunderstand God's heart. There are times when I can't understand my true heart, and I resent and complain. But we must remember. The God who loved us even to death will lead us on the right path. I pray that you will become saints who fully enjoy God's love.
Paul did not care about how others were treated in prison, but focused on whether the saints lived the life of the cross, imitating Christ. This was Paul's longing and joy. I hope you will realize the love of Christ and decide to become saints who fulfill the mission given to you.
