When I protested, "Hey, look, look, it's really frustrating. Have you ever seen them give rice cakes to the fish they caught?" It's definitely different when you go to the bathroom and when you come. This is human.
Humans can't appreciate things that are too obvious. For example, if someone buys me a drum or two of boiler oil for the cold winter, I would be very grateful. If you buy a few hundred briquettes, they don't know where to go. But we do not know the gratitude of the sun for providing us with thousands of degrees of heat for free. When I was in Pyeongni-dong, I received and drank bottled water that the elder gave me every week for several years, and I thanked him for his hard work. But I did not feel very grateful for the one who made the bottled water. Those of you who have served in the military will remember the pain of the gas chamber among the many pains of training. The greatest pain you feel there will be the pain you can't breathe. When you come out of the gas chamber and breathe in fresh air, if there is an owner of the air and it costs 1 million won each to breathe in, no one will be able to refuse. However, you don't feel much gratitude for the air you breathe in 30-40 times per minute.
The grace of my parents and the grace of my teachers are great, but I take such things for granted and live my life. That is me and you. When we don't take things for granted and look for gratitude for the things we take for granted, our gratitude will be enormous.
There are words in the Bible that cannot be expressed in our language, literature, or anything else. It is said to be the love of God, the joy of heaven, and the pain of hell. In hymn 404, hymn 404, the love of God is "Indescribable in words of the great love of God / Beyond the high and high stars to the low and low earth / He sent His Son to save sinful souls / He made a peace offering / He forgave sins / Refrain: God's great love is beyond measure/ A love that never changes/ Praise the saints/ Even if the sky is a scroll and the sea is ink/ I can't write down God's boundless love/ How can I use God's great love/ Build it up high in the sky I can't even fill it up/" he sang.
Today's text is known as the Hymn to Christ. Through today's text, we hope that it will be a time to feel, know, and believe in God's love more concretely.

He is the essence of God (v. 5) Christology is the first and longest debated topic in dogmatic history. That is, is Jesus really God? Or are you human? that is. This is not the right place to discuss the whole controversy. Because it's too theological, boring and long. However, with just the verse of Matthew 16:16 “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” and today’s text alone, we can fully express Jesus’ divinity and humanity. I think that the Holy Spirit moved Peter and Paul to come up with such an excellent Christology. First of all, the “pre-existing thought” of Jesus Christ is dealt with here.
『先在』means that it already existed before. That is, what was Jesus' original identity? In verse 5, the expression “He is the original form of God” appears. Here, it should be noted that the Greek word for “body” is morphe. The meaning of this word becomes clearer when compared to its synonym, schema. If 『Skema』 refers to changing form differently, 『Morpe』 refers to essential form. In other words, the original identity of Jesus is God Himself.
Rather, empty yourself (verse 7) - It is said that man moves because of one of three things: money, a whip, and reward. If you work for money, you will be a scoundrel; if you are driven by a whip, you will be a slave; The expression “rather empty yourself” means that you have emptied yourself from the identity of God. This is where the famous 『Kenos theory』 was born from 『Keno』 called Beer. What do you mean empty? There are many theories, but he took the form of a servant who kept the eternal essence of God. So he could become both a true God and a true human.
The death of the cross (verse 8) - The core of Paul's theology is the cross and resurrection. Among them, the crucifixion is the key to solving all the questions of the Bible for Paul. The cross is the place where God's justice is satisfied and at the same time the place where God's love is realized. That is why the message of the cross seems foolish to those who are perishing, but to those who are being saved it is the power of God. To the Jews it is a stumbling block, to the Greeks it seems foolish, but to those who believe, it is the core of salvation. But if there is only death and no resurrection, then the cross is meaningless. This is like the two wheels of salvation.
Highly exalted... Bestowed with a name (verse 9) - Jesus' name is so important that Satan is cast out and disease goes away under his name. In Acts chapter 3, the name of Jesus came upon the crippled man sitting at the beautiful gate of the temple with great power. “Silver and gold I have none, but what I have I give you; in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, walk, verse 6” The Bible records that he immediately walked and jumped. It is said that the power of his name extends to heaven and earth under the earth. It speaks well of the invincibility of its name. No authority or power in this world ends with death, but the name Jesus means that it remains in effect until after death. Please believe that this precious name has been given to us. Please believe that if you pray in this name, it will be done. I pray in the name of the Lord that you give thanks and praise to the Lord who is still at the right hand of God, who hears and answers supplications in His name.
