Philippians 3:1-16 (Theme Verses 1-3)
What we can realize here is that the true servants of God must not fall into any special illusions. It should be noted that the Apostle Paul mentioned the same message as the end times and safety through today's text. In other words, as the end draws near, it is easier to come up with and claim special doctrines, which are extremely dangerous. And on the contrary, it is safe to keep pace with the same gospel.
What many cult leaders have in common is that they pursued something special, and if you look closely at the members of the cult, you can see that there are many people who pursued something special. They like something special.
Therefore, a true worker needs constant faith and service in the basic truth. There is no special truth. God, who created the heavens and the earth, does everything according to the natural principle of planting, nurturing, and bearing fruit. You must not work with any special syndrome or any sense of privilege that is out of order.
Second, God's servants must serve by the Holy Spirit.
Since the work of God is of the spirit, it cannot produce good fruit by the methods or strength of the flesh. The service of the flesh has its limits, and the fruit is not good.
If you serve according to the flesh, there are side effects that will inevitably follow.
One). Recognition is desired, and the reward mentality works. For example, if you donate a lot, you think that everything will go well and you have the right to receive material blessings. And if things don't work out easily, you will soon be put to the test.
2). They will compete (and even compare).
3). fall into pride or discouragement
4). not sustainable
5). no fruit
But if you serve with the Holy Spirit...
1) Service itself is a condition of gratitude without seeking recognition or compensation.
2) Each other considers others better than me (compare first recognition, respect, and Not)
3) You will be filled with grace and faith.
4) Serving consistently and unchangingly.
5) Good fruits are bearing steadily.
Therefore, God's workers must be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Third, God's servants must boast only in Jesus Christ. :
Pride in most cases becomes selfish and ostentatious, with evil consequences.
We often do the evil of boasting, not only in general, but also in the guise of faith. Even if it is a testimony, it often breaks the hearts of those who hear it.
Therefore, the true servants of God are those who boast nothing but only Jesus Christ. My salvation and my service are all given through Jesus Christ.
And the only true possession, truly eternal treasure, is Jesus Christ in us. The things of the world, the shape of the body is nothing to take. Only Jesus Christ is our everything. Therefore, only Jesus Christ can be proud of to the true servants of God.
And it doesn't matter how good Jesus Christ is because everyone has this Jesus Christ. The more we talk and boast, the more we can give each other strength and grace. It is Jesus Christ.
If someone claims to be a servant of God and pretends to be doing something special by receiving some special power, or if he promotes the works he has done, he should know that he is not a real servant of God, but is just doing his own work.
The true servants of God do not trust the flesh. They think that everything will be fine because there is something in the world, and they do not say that they are at all reassured. He is a person who carries out the given task with silence and humility, but only by relying on the Holy Spirit and following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, serving with the Holy Spirit, boasting only in Jesus Christ, and exalting Him only.
And God gives grace and peace to these workers, and God Himself exalts them. Hallelujah! In the name of the Lord, I pray that you will become a servant of God that God recognizes, that God values, and that God exalts. Amen!
