Title Philippians 03:1 Reasons for Losing Joy
Content The most important indicator of whether a Christian's faith is healthy or ill is whether he has joy or not. No matter how active he is, if he is doing it without joy, he is now ill.
Whether I am enjoying the joy of worship these days, whether I am enjoying the service of the church these days, that is a sign of the health of my soul. How, then, do Christians lose their joy and fall into stagnation? The most important reason is not being able to hear the word properly. For example, no matter how healthy a person is, if he does not eat properly, his strength will inevitably decrease.
Likewise, if Christians do not properly listen to the living Word of God, they will become ill. In severe cases, their souls may fall into an extremely dangerous state. How can they not hear the Word?
One is that one is busy with worldly affairs and cannot hear the Word. This is a faith that is caught up in the world's greed and does not bear fruit. Another is that the church itself does not have the Word. Of course, there are many sermons, but in reality, there are many sermons. If the Bible is not telling, but full of worldly stories, then the whole church is bound to get sick without their knowledge. It's more terrifying and harder to find than the sickness of the whole church than the sickness of an individual's faith.
The other is a case where he often loses joy because he is living while holding on to the Word. In that case, he is not sick, but very healthy. He is living a normal life of faith.
Of course, if the ship is anchored at the pier, it will be safe. However, the ship has to go to the sea. If the ship does not go to the sea, it will be a broken ship or a ship that will be disposed of. It is the same with our religious life. A faith that strives not to lose joy is a healthy faith, and wonderful blessings will come to him in the Lord's time.
