Title: A Fruitful Account

Text: (Philippians 4:14-23)

Hymns: 213. give my life

Date: February 25, 2011 (Fri) 5 am

Venue: Jeonju Yebut Church Small Worship Room

It is indescribable to describe the emotion and emotion that people who experience unexpected help when they are in trouble. Help contains love and devotion. In the text, Paul expresses his gratitude to the Philippians who helped him.

1. An account in heaven (verse 17)

We are people with bank accounts in heaven. “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven” (Matthew 6:2). To lay up treasure in heaven is to care for the poor and the servants of the Lord. The Philippian church opened an account in a heavenly bank by collecting donations to care for Paul's needs. All of the donations you give to save lives and build the kingdom of God are stored in the heavenly account. God does not want the saints to owe anything. Paul certainly believed that God would repay the Philippian saints for their material gifts in abundance. So Paul encourages the saints to have no obstacles in giving and receiving material and heart.

Do we have the faith to help us without hesitation when the opportunity arises to lay up treasures in heaven?

2. A fragrant offering (v. 18)

Paul said that the material provision of the Philippians was a beautiful fragrance, acceptable riches, and pleasing to God. Everything we receive is a gift of God's grace. Everything you do for the Lord or for others is out of love and gratitude. Paul's epistle to the Philippian Saints gives life to them and to millions of believers throughout the centuries. God supplies and satisfies all the needs of the giver in abundance. All that we give for the Lord is never in vain.

3. In glory (verse 19)

Paul believed in the Philippian saints that God would supply all their needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Further, Paul assures the Philippian Saints that God will provide abundantly for all their needs in order to bring them into His glory. God will supply all the needs of the Philippians in glory. The material and immaterial things we offer in Christ for the kingdom of God bring life to life and reveal the glory of God. The Lord owes nothing to anyone. I hope you live a life that experiences the abundance that God has given you.

God works through people. God works through people. There are many saints who helped Paul accomplish the work of God. The world does not remember them, but God does. I hope you will participate in the work of expanding the kingdom of God by accumulating treasures in heaven.

<Prayer>

1. May we become rich in faith who store up treasures in heaven!

2. May our faith, hope and love be restored and our bodies strong!

3. Let all the families of Jebut become a family of blessing built in the Word!
