Psalm 1:1-4

1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit with the scornful, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on it day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither.

4 But the wicked are not like that; they are like chaff blown by the wind. 5 Therefore, when the wicked are judged, they cannot restrain themselves, and sinners cannot participate in the assembly of the righteous. 6 Yes. The way of the righteous is approved by the Lord, but the way of the wicked will be destroyed.

May the Lord's peace be with you.

Dear saints,

From 2011 onwards, I pray that the greater grace of the Lord will come to you.

Those who receive the Lord's great grace are blessed.

Blessing is God.

Blessed are those who are in God. A person who lives with God.

Blessing is life.

Blessed are those who have regained their lost lives. Those who live in eternal life.

It can be said that such a blessing refers to a person who is blessed with such a blessing.

We hope that the Lord's Sarang Church and all of you can enjoy this grace and live.

No, I want you to be able to live with the conviction that you are already enjoying that blessing.

Today's text is about

There is no one who reads the Bible who does not know these words.

These are words that I have read and memorized countless times.

However, these verses do not end just by reading and memorizing them.

These are the words that we must know and receive the correct meaning of these words.

Dear saints,

The verse of the text begins like this.

1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on it day and night. As a tree bears fruit in its season, and its leaves do not wither, so everything you do will prosper.

Verses 1-3 should read like this.

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful.

Blessed are those who only delight in the law of the Lord, and meditate on it day and night.

A blessed man is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaves do not wither.

It's better to read it this way.

Much easier to understand what it means.

Dear saints,

However, reading this way will help you understand the meaning of the text more clearly.

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, does not stand in the way of sinners, does not sit in the seat of the scornful, but delights in the law of the Lord, and meditates on the law day and night.

For a man is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither, and everything he does will prosper.

The method of reading the Word in this way is the same as the method of reading Matthew 5:3-12.

This sermon is known as the Sermon on the Mount.

These words should be read in the same way.

For example:

3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit. The kingdom of heaven is theirs.

This verse should be read like this.

4 Blessed are those who mourn. God will comfort them.

9 Blessed are those who make peace. God will call them His children.

It should be read this way.

Dear saints,

If you read the words of today's text like that, you can understand the meaning more clearly.

The same is true of the person called the wicked in the text.

Who is the wicked?

The wicked do not follow the wisdom of God, but stand in the way of sinners, and sit together in the seat of the scorner.

The wicked hate the law of the Lord and live day and night immersed in the wisdom of the world.

The wicked are not like a tree planted by streams of water, so they do not bear fruit in their season, and their leaves soon wither, and everything they do prospers and perish.

The reason the wicked are not blessed is that the wicked will be unable to control themselves when they are judged. Because the wicked will never be able to participate in the assembly of the righteous.

And because the way of the wicked is not approved by the Lord, the way of the wicked will eventually be destroyed.

Dear saints,

The path of the righteous that God approves is therefore a blessed path.

However, the path of the wicked that God does not approve is the path of destruction.

I hope that Jusarang Church and all of you can live the blessed path of the righteous.

Dear saints,

However, our Lord's Love Church should not understand the words of this text only to this point.

In fact, we need to notice the core of the words of Psalm 1.

The verse says, "Everything the righteous does prosper, and the wicked perish.

Even if I understand it that way, it is not wrong.

But rather than understanding the difference between the righteous and the wicked, we need to notice a more important difference.

What's the difference?

Why does everything the righteous do well?

Why do the wicked perish?

You just have to figure it out.

Dear saints,

Why does everything the righteous do well?

Because the righteous are well established.

Where is the seat of the righteous?

That's right.

Where is the place of that life?

Let's read verse 3

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither;

Where is the seat of the righteous, the seat of life?

It was right.

The righteous were not in the middle of the desert, but right by the stream where the trees could grow.

A righteous person is a person who has his roots in streams and waters that can sustain life.

So, even if there is a drought, if the leaves do not dry out, they will surely bear fruit.

in the text

is expressed as

Dear saints,

This is the difference between the righteous and the wicked.

In the text, what kind of person are the blessed and the righteous?

The righteous are

But the wicked are.

The seat of this life is .

The seat of this life is .

The seat of this life is .

This place of life is a place of abundance.

The seat of this life is .

The seat of this life is .

Blessed people are blessed because they live in this place of life.

Those who do not enjoy the blessings and the wicked are unhappy because they cannot live in this place of life.

Dear saints,

living God,

The God who loves us has made us live in this place of life.

He made me live by meditating on the law of the Lord day and night in the seat of life.

He made us live in the place of life with the wisdom and power of the Lord.

I didn't promise to do that in the future

He has already made us live that way.

This is a tremendous grace of God.

This is the proof that you have been blessed.

Let's live and give thanks to the Lord.

This place of blessing, the place of life, will never be taken away or lost again,

I hope that you can live your life enjoying all the blessings that the Lord gives you.

Jusarang Church is a blessed people.

You are blessed people.

Blessed are the righteous who believe in God and live on this earth.

Because you and such people will live in Esau for all eternity.

It is a blessing that is upon you.

I hope you can live without forgetting.
