Title point of contact (Matthew 5:25-34)
Contents
About 6 years ago, I accidentally stepped on a nail with my foot. There was a hole in the sole of the foot and blood was pouring out. Waiting in the emergency room for two hours, it was a bit creepy to the point that I wondered if I could spill so much.
The woman in today's text, who does not know her name or age, has shed blood for 12 years. I'm scared even after two hours have passed, but after 12 years, would the pain be overwhelming?
The sad thing is that it hasn't been fixed for so many years. I went to all the doctors who said it was OK, and tried all the good medicines, but to no avail. They say that I have tried wild ginseng, snakes, deer blood, plasters, saliva, and radiation therapy, but to no avail.
Where was the insurance at the time? Maybe I've wasted the extra money. Still, it would be great if it got better, but it got worse.
There is a disease that is also treated as a disease, but this hemorrhagic disease is far from such a disease. As long as this person sits anywhere, that seat becomes an unclean place, so he can't sit anywhere he wants. Even if you touch it, you become unclean, so you can't even touch an object. A disease that has to go somewhere far away is this blood flow disease.
I can't die like that, but one day I heard some strange news. There is a person who travels all over the country to preach the gospel, and if you meet this person, the lepers will be healed, the lame will be raised, and the dead will come back to life.
My ears popped open. "No, if that's the case, does that mean that I can eat with my family again, and sit around and talk?" From then on, a small dream entered this woman's heart.
There is a saying. "If a young man does not have a dream, he will drink alcohol, if a father does not have a dream, he will abandon his family, and if a nation does not have a dream, it will perish."
There must be an individual or a country or a dream. Without dreams, there is no faith. Just as you need a bowl to hold water even when water pours out, you need a dream to contain your faith.
Politics doesn't save us. If the system is good and the economy is doing well, but my heart is sick and my family is bruised, what good is it? Personality change comes first. So you must have a dream. We must have the dream of peace, the dream of healing, the dream of blessing, and the dream of eternal life that Jesus gave us.
This woman had this dream and ran to the Lord. Not surprisingly, people are gathering like a cloud. They are pushing and pulling around Jesus. Seeing so many people, I was instantly ashamed. "Do I have to do this..."
There is a time to go slow and a time to go fast. One of the reasons why the Korean economy was going well and then stopped is because it didn't go slow when it was supposed to go slow. Even if I made less money, I would have been fine if I had gone while chopping it up, but I was in a hurry. Only now Korea is learning it.
On the other hand, there are times when you have to hurry. If you look at the 911 program, the unit of time for those first responders is one second. In that one second, a person lives and dies. An hour isn't too late, it's when you're done.
The same is true of spiritual life. There are times when we need to hurry, especially when it comes to salvation. As I said before, there was a certain laid-back person. "Someday I will... One day I will be able to pray fluently... One day I will become an elder... One day, the time will come when I will build a beautiful church..." 30 years have passed.
The Bible commands us. "Today is the right time to be saved." Everyone, it's not tomorrow. Not even 10 years from now. It's today.
This woman made the same decision and rushed to the Lord. I touched the hem of the Lord's robe. nothing else has been done. It's just that I just touched the hem of my clothes. At the same time, however, the source of the blood flow dried up, and the 12-year chronic illness was completely cured. Hallelujah!
A scholar who had studied a lot was crossing a river in a boat. There were only two sailors and scholars on board. Bored, the scholar said. ?쏡o you know Kant???"How do you know that Shonne is like that?" "No, don't you know that famous philosopher?" "I haven't heard of it." "Then do you know a little about astronomy?" "How would I know?" "Then you don't know history and you don't know art?" "I only know how to catch fish and row a boat." The scholar thought to himself, 'Well, how could such an ignorant know the wide world.' I clicked my tongue.
The conversation was cut off and we went on for a while, but when we reached the middle of the river, the wind started to blow. My stomach tilted and I lost my balance and turned over. Both fell into the water. It is a very strong, deep river. The scholar exclaimed. ?쏦oney, save me.???쏰uch, scholar, you can come out like this.??The sailor speaks while swimming skillfully. "Honey, how do I do it? Stop nagging and save me!" "Yangban Nari, now that I see, here I am, philosophy, I need swimming rather than astronomy. Shonne goes first."
The world has become more complex, so you need to know philosophy, you need to know politics, you need to know economics, you need to be good at sports, you need to know computers, and you need to know some art. When life is going well, those things are often useful. But when the storm hits and the waves crash in my life, I only need one thing.
There was a man named Nicodemus. He was a very knowledgeable person. He was a man who knew politics, city and city, history, and law. However, they did not know one thing about the fact that a person must be born again of water and the Spirit. It is the key to get out of hell and go to heaven, but I didn't know this important thing.
The same is true of the woman at the well in Samaria. This woman, too, will not be able to stay up for several nights to unpack her story. A single life, a lot of men, a strange struggle, there is no end. He has seen a lot and experienced a lot. But for one thing, I didn't know that there was water that satisfies the thirst of life.
A house where Jesus went to visit. There was a feast. While eating and drinking at the Jinsu Supper, a woman broke the jade jar. It is an expensive anode. I don't know if I got it from my mother, or if I was saving it and trying to give it to my daughter when she married. The smell vibrates in the room.
And he washes Jesus' feet with his hair. Once upon a time in France, women who had cooperated with the German Nazis were captured and shaved off their heads as punishment. Hair is so important to women. But this woman is wiping the man's feet with her hair. The wind stopped eating and the atmosphere was ruined.
But for this woman, the sacrament is not a problem. The atmosphere is also nowhere to be seen. People's opinions don't matter. Expensive anodes don't matter. Your hair doesn't matter either.
There is only one thing in this woman's heart. "The Jesus I love, the Jesus who saved me, the Jesus who gave me hope, so I want to love myself to the fullest, and I want to devote my life to Jesus." There is only one thing in this woman's heart. Seeing this one thing, Jesus praised it. "This woman's beautiful work will go a long way."
The woman in today's text is also a woman who knew one thing. ?쏛lthough there are many people, and in the midst of pushing and pulling each other, I cannot bow down to Jesus, I cannot sing, I cannot give, I cannot serve, I cannot do evangelism. You can do it. You can touch the hem of the Lord's robe." Then, quietly, he lightly touched his outer garment without showing any signs. And he put all his heart into it.
Holding on to Jesus and his companions, arguing, can people be like this, are they arrogant like this, are they so busy, are you the head of the synagogue, or are you discriminating against people? I didn't do this.
That's really important. Deep faith. It is a simple mind that does not make a fuss, does not reveal it, and is not greedy.
Seeing that one thing, Jesus praised it. "...Daughter, your faith has saved you; go in peace, and be healed of your sickness." Hallelujah!
Dear friends, are there any of you who are searching for answers with a frustrated heart? So, have you been looking for a lot of life's doctors? We went to school, studied, read newspapers, had discussions, made money, played games, traveled, tried everything, but couldn't find it yet? No satisfaction, no joy, a lot of money, only time and energy wasted?
Then the answer is here. It is the hem of the Lord's robe. No matter how thick or thin the wire is, as long as it touches it, electricity will flow. Even though it is the hem of a robe, if I pour my heart into it, I can communicate with the Lord. The hem became the point of contact.
Beloved, the Lord is always by our side. The woman took the hem of her robe as a point of contact in a rush. We have a better point of contact. There is the Word, there is prayer, and there is worship. I pray that you hold onto that point of contact in the Word, in prayer, and in worship.
Then the answer will surely come. ?쏶urely someone touched me. Power went out of my body. Someone clearly cried out in my name. There is someone who is looking for me. I will find him soon. And I will find him and grant him all his prayers, wishes, and supplications. I will provide him with what he needs." I hope that you will receive a precious blessing through this contact point.
