Sermons for Preaching

Title Prayer (Acts 16:25-32)

Content Prayer blesses my soul (Proverbs 4:23).

Proverbs 4:32 - Guard your heart above all else, for it is the wellspring of life.

Prayer strengthens my soul.

Prayer sanctifies my heart.

Prayer fills my heart with the Holy Spirit.

Prayer refreshes my heart.

When God sees people, he looks at their hearts first. He is a God who sees the heart and soul (1 Samuel 16:7).

Ultimately, when we pray, the Holy Spirit works and our hearts are strengthened when the Holy Spirit works.

1 Samuel 16:7 - The LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or height, for I have forsaken him. I do not look like men; men look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

If the inside is rotten, it cannot be used even if the outside is beautiful. If it smells on the inside, you cannot eat it (fruit) even if the outside is fragrant.

The Holy Spirit and the devil try to penetrate the heart of each person (Rom 7:21-23).

the devil,

① Regardless of means (Matthew 24:24, Mark 13:22)

Matthew 24:24 - False Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

② to corrupt the heart wickedly (John 13:2)

John 13:2 The devil had already put in the heart of Simon's son Judas Garth the idea of selling Jesus.

③ Using evil methods (Matthew 12:45, 13:19, 39, John 17:15)

Matthew 13:39 - The enemy who sowed the weeds is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the world, and the reapers are angels.

John 17:15 - I do not pray that you take them out of the world, but that you keep the crocodiles from falling out.

④ Fill your heart with what God hates (Daniel 1:8, Mark 7:20, 2 Corinthians 7:1)

Mark 7:20 - And he said, What comes out of a man defiles him.

⑤ When the heart is corrupted, the body becomes worthless and worthless (Jeremiah 17:9, 1 Timothy 6:5)

Jeremiah 7:9 - The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it?

⑥ We will be judged by God and will be destroyed in this life and the next life (Exodus 2:5-8, Colossians 3:5-6)

Romans 2:5 But according to your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for me in the day of wrath, when God's righteous judgment is revealed. And to those who seek immortality, eternal life; but to those who are selfish and do not pursue the truth, but pursue iniquity, wrath and wrath.

Colossians 3:5 Therefore put to death your members that are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, lust, evil lust, and covetousness, which is idolatry, for which the wrath of God comes.

Holy Spirit,

① Impressed and moved in a good way (2 Corinthians 1:22)

② The kingdom of heaven is established in the heart (2 Corinthians 4:16)

③ Working through the Word (Luke 8:15)

Luke 8:15 - Those in the good soil are those who hear the word with an honest and good heart, keep it, and bear fruit with patience.

④ Filled with the treasures of the kingdom of heaven (Ephesians 1:3)

⑤ When the spirit prospers, honor and glory follow the body (Psalm 16:8-9).

Psalm 16:8 I set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I am not moved. Therefore my heart rejoices, my glory rejoices, and my body also dwells in safety.

⑥ Those who please God are blessed in this life and in the life to come (1 Timothy 4:8)

When the devil enters our hearts and turns our hearts to hell, our thoughts, lives, and steps are directed to hell. Life is as important as the direction in which you move your heart. All nutrients go in a direction. Prayer goes to heaven. Go the holy way.

Prayer not only makes our hearts prosperous, but it keeps us going.

① The devil, who keeps taking advantage, cannot penetrate (Ephesians 4:27).

Ephesians 4:27 - Do not allow the devil to break through

② The Lord makes it a temple in which he always dwells (Ephesians 3:17).

Ephesians 3:17 - Let Christ dwell in your hearts through faith, that you may be rooted and grounded in love,

③ We can overcome all kinds of temptations and temptations outside the world (2 Peter 2:14).
