Sermons for Preaching

Title Prayer (Luke 22:39-43)

Content Prayer makes our saints the ultimate victor. Jesus prayed according to his habit. The Lord's life was a life of prayer. The secret to victory was prayer.

In many cases, people think that everything has been accomplished just because they have won once, but believers must obtain victory at the end of their lives. King Saul was victorious at first, but failed in the end (1 Samuel 15:16-19).

Life is like a racer (1 Corinthians 9:24, Hebrews 12:1).

1 Corinthians 9:24 - Do you not know that all runners in the field run, but only one wins the prize? Run in the same way that you may win.

In every match, the last five minutes matter. The last minute, one second, or even 0.1, 0.01 seconds is fine. In the end, it is sometimes reversed. It is important to be ahead with one win from the beginning, but winning at the end is the most precious (in the 5,000m short track at the 1992 Winter Olympics, which was held recently, Korean skater Ki-Hoon Kim beat a Canadian athlete by 0.04 seconds at the last goal, and one skate blade 30cm difference. win by ahead). Everyone in the world talks about winning and winning when they were young, and living well and doing great things when they were young. But the saints must boast in their final victory - this.

端笑勝者 (He who laughs last is the victor)

Jesus is the one who finally overcomes (Philippians 2:6-11).

Paul was the last to laugh (2 Timothy 4:7).

The great saints in Hebrews 11 are also the last to laugh. And they were always people of prayer.

God helps those who pray (Luke 22:43).

Luke 22:43 - An angel appeared to Jesus from heaven and gave him strength.

① It is because of God's help that we are successful (Isaiah 50:7, Hebrews 13:6).

Hebrews 13:6- Therefore we boldly said, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid; what can a man do to me?

② Although we are weak, God is strong (1 Corinthians 1:27, 2 Corinthians 12:9).

2 Corinthians 12:9 - He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power of knowledge is made perfect in weakness. Hamira

③ Although we sleep, God is awake (Psalm 121:3-4).

Psalm 121:3 The LORD will wake you up and you will not stumble, and your keeper will not slumber. He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

④ Even if we do not know, God knows everything (Genesis 31:29).

Genesis 31:29 - Power is in my hand to harm you, but the God of your father said to me last night, Take heed that you speak no good or evil to Jacob.

⑤ We have limits in all our powers, but God is absolute (Psalm 33:16-19, Isaiah 40:31, Hab 3:19).

Psalm 33:16-19 - There is no river by which many armies have been saved; the mighty man is mighty, but he cannot save himself. The word is vain to save, and his great strength cannot ask for it. He searches those who wait, and delivers their souls from death, and brings them to life in time of famine.

He helps us. do it together you keep

We shouldn't be doing well in a year or a few years. It should be fine forever. The devil seems to prosper for a while, but makes us eternal failures (Psalm 1:1-6, Proverbs 4:19, 24:19-20).

Proverbs 4:19 - The way of the wicked is like gloom; when he stumbles and stumbles, he does not understand what it is.

Proverbs 24:19-20 - Do not be angry with the evildoer, nor be envious of the appearance of the wicked, for the evildoer has no future, and the lamp of the wicked goes out.

A believer should not live intoxicated with momentary joy, happiness, success, love, power, and glory (Psalm 37:2, 2 Corinthians 4:18, Hebrews 11:24-25).

Psalm 37:2 For they shall be cut down as quickly as grass, and wither like green vegetables.

2 Corinthians 4:18 - We do not look at what is seen, but on what is not seen; for what is seen is temporary, but what is not seen is eternal.

Hebrews 11:24-25 - By faith Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, and preferred to suffer with God's people rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a while.

Eternal life and life, eternal blessings and victory, eternal glory, power, and happiness all these are gifts from God (Psalm 92:12, Proverbs 4:l8, Daniel 6:26, Daniel 12:3, Romans 8:35) .

Psalm 92:12 - The righteous will prosper like a palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Proverbs 4:18 - The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining brighter and brighter, and reaching full light.

Dan 12:3 - A wise man will shine like the light of the firmament, and he who turns many to righteousness like the stars forever.

If you pray, you will win. If you always pray, you will always win. If you pray for the rest of your life, you will be victorious throughout your life. Therefore, prayer must continue throughout life (Psalm 116:1-2).

Psalm 116:1 I love the LORD because he hears my supplications; because he inclined his ear, I will pray all the days of my life.
