Sermons for Preaching

Title Prayer (Matthew 07:7-11)

Content Prayer is by no means an empty monologue or a means of strengthening one's beliefs, but rather a conversation with the living God, the Creator, and a conversation about what is needed.

Of course, we should not understand prayer as a means of fulfilling our own requirements by thinking of God only as the owner of the magic wand or the protagonist of 'Open Sesame'.

God is our Creator and has a will (intention, purpose) to do with our environment and each of us.

If we are to discern this very will of God and live in this world relying on the Creator as a creature, it is essential that we ask for our needs through prayer.

(conclusion)

The meaning of ‘always’ in Colossians 4:2 means regularity and continuity. Prayer can be offered in many forms (closed prayer, paired prayer, group prayer, and public prayer), but above all, private closet prayer with God must be prioritized. (Matthew 6:5-8) More important than answers to prayers is God Himself. Just knowing that He is with me is empowering. Hallelujah !

“Take a clear attitude toward God, and God will take a clear attitude toward you.”

“The more I pray, the more I feel the need for the Word. The more I read the Word, the more I cannot help praying and the more power I get from that prayer. ”-Andrew Murray
