Prayer (3)
prayer
1 John 5:13-15
13 I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 This is the boldness we have toward him, that he hears us if we ask anything according to his will. If we know that he hears what we ask, we also know that we have what we ask of him.

These ten things can be said to be God's gifts to those who pray. Although they are not immediately visible, these are spiritual blessings that come from our relationship with God. Conversely, these ten things are what you lose if you don't pray. who is that Why, at all, ten? Because it has ten fingers and ten toes.
Today's sermon is about answers to prayer. There are many Bible verses about answers to prayer, but none of them contain everything about answers to prayers like today's verse. However, the concept of the Bible in our language is not clearly revealed, so many people do not know the importance of this verse even after reading it.
There is a section on prayer in Father Torrey's book, and the words of 1 John 5:13-15 that we read today are found in that. When he taught the Bible, he had people sitting in front of him and taught mainly by question. For example, “Why did John write this letter?” "Yes. I wrote it so that we who believe in the name of the Son of God may know that we have eternal life.” “Now, what kind of heart do we have toward God?” "Yes. I have a bold heart toward God.” “Then, why did we have such a bold heart toward God?” "Yes. Because we who believe in the name of the Son of God have eternal life, if we ask anything according to the will of God, he will hear it.” “Then, what kind of prayer does God hear?” "Yes. He hears our prayers according to God’s will.” “Then, what does it mean to know that God has heard our prayers?” "Yes. It means that we get everything we ask of God.”
Today's easy-to-read Bible says: “I am writing this letter to you who believe in the Son of God. I am writing this letter to let you know that you now have eternal life. We can come to God without any doubt. This means that when we ask God for something, and when it is in accordance with God's will for us, God cares deeply about what we ask for. God listens to us whenever we ask Him. So we can know that he will give us all that we ask for.”
Today, for the third and final time on prayer, I would like to talk about answers to prayers. Unanswered prayers are meaningless. No matter how hard you pray, if you do not get answers, your prayer life is meaningless and has no fun. However, many people do not know the truth of the Bible about prayer answers. And I'm just trying to pray. There are many verses about answering prayers in the Bible. The most important of these is the relationship between the person praying and God who hears the prayer. This is a very important principle of answering prayer.
Matthew 7:11 says this. “If you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him?” Even as people read this verse, they pay attention only to the saying that God gives good things to those who ask, and miss out on the important things in this verse. The important thing in this verse is relationship. It is a father-child relationship. “Even though you are evil, will you not give good things to your children?” This relationship between the Father and the Son is the same as the relationship between God and His children. “How much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him?”
The most important thing in answering prayers is this relationship. It is the relationship between Heavenly Father and his children. If this relationship is well established, not only the prayer life but also all the problems of the religious life will be solved. There is something wrong with this relationship, and problems arise because this relationship is broken. There is no meaning in prayer life, there is no joy, there is no certainty, and there is no answer to prayer. The funny thing is that many people pray without even expecting an answer to their prayers. How can a person who has prayed and never received an answer before can expect an answer?
We are sons of God who ask our Heavenly Father for our needs. It's not a relationship between a walker and a beggar. There is an identity and dignity as a son of God who seeks what he needs from Heavenly Father. There is dignity and dignity as a son of God. Therefore, we must first restore the relationship between the Father and the Son. I believe that if this relationship is restored properly, all problems will be solved. The Lord said to his disciples: “Remain in me. I will abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of its own accord unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you are in me. I am the vine, and you are the branches; if he is in me and I in him, this man bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:4-5). The Lord wanted this “intimacy relationship” with His disciples. Why? Because the Lord wanted the disciples to have abundant fruit in their lives.
The verse of 1 John chapter 5 that we read today also tells us that fact. Your relationship with Heavenly Father is important. Only when this relationship is restored can we have confidence in the eternal life He gives to our children. And only those who have this conviction can know the will of Heavenly Father. Isn't Heavenly Father's will not just known? It is only when our relationship with Heavenly Father is restored that we can know Heavenly Father's will. Only then can those children seek according to Heavenly Father's will. And, God hears the prayers of those children.
5 secrets of answered prayer
1. Complete dependence on Christ (John 14:13-14) - This is the basis we can ask of him.
2. Separation from all known sin (Psalm 66:18) - Sin breaks our relationship with God.
3. Faith in God’s word of promise (Hebrews 11:6) Keep in mind that those words require our obedience.
4. Asking in accordance with His will (1 John 5:13) To know God's will, we must focus on God's Word and prayer.
5. Persistence in our request (Luke 18:1-8) - God wants His children to pray until they get an answer. God wants His children to answer their prayers. God commands His children to come before the throne of God and ask them boldly.
It is important to know the results of your prayer life, and it is also important to know the secret to receiving answers to your prayers. However, the first thing we need to do before all of this is to restore our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Your prayer life must start here.
