Word: 2 Kings 6:4-19

Title: Elisha's Prayer

Description: After Elijah's ministry, Elijah appointed Elisha as his successor, a prophet of God. When Elisha is acting as a prophet of Israel, the king of Syria is fighting a war with Israel, and when the king and his servants plan a plan, Israel often knows first and avoids it.

The king of Aram questioned whether there were spies among the Aramaean servants, but in the end Elisha, the prophet of Israel, heard God first and opened his eyes to see and understand, so the Syrians could not wage war.

The king of Syria knew that it was more important to get rid of Elisha than to go to war, so he pursued Elisha's place and learned that he was staying in the city of "Dothan." They surrounded the city in two or three layers and tried to kill Elisha.

When he got up in the morning, the servant Glebon, full of fear, ran to Elisha and reported the truth. Elisha said, "Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are stronger and more numerous than those who are with us."

When the servant opened his eyes and looked up, the heavenly host of angels surrounding Elisha filled the mountain, guarding Israel and Elisha.

1. A person of prayer is not afraid.

Many people live in fear. There are two main reasons why people are afraid.

The first is the fear of sin.

Second, they are afraid of an uncertain future.

2. Elisha's prayer was an opening prayer.

People who pray have their ears open. So I listen first.

I also hear small sounds and secret sounds.

People who pray have their eyes open.

If the ears of the spirit are not opened, only the world hears.

If you do not open your spiritual eyes, you only see the world.

I saw the invisible soldiers of the heavens thickly there.

3. Elisha was a person who repaid evil with good.

A person who pays good for evil

one who pays evil for evil

There are people who repay evil with good.
