Title Preach the Gospel
Preach the Gospel
\"Preach the gospel\" is easy to say. Anyone can do it. But the practice is not easy. What is the mission of the preacher? It's not about making believers hear and be moved during worship. They must understand the gospel. He has a tremendous responsibility to listen and be reborn and live according to its contents.
If you do that, every area of your life will see a change. There may not be much difference at first. Rather, it may seem powerless. Legally, it might be easier and more powerful to say this and that. But sooner or later, the power of the gospel changes the fundamentals. It is because God's saving power is supplied in it.
Man's pride must disappear and be renewed by the power of God. Man is in sin. Therefore, human beings must be born again. It should be clearly explained that sins were forgiven because of Christ's merit and that all curses caused by it ceased, and what the privileges and powers of being children of God are. These two should be checked hourly every day.
The power of this gospel must be manifested in one's life. It must create its own structure of consciousness. Surely it was not said, “Having put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of him who created him” (Colossians 3:10)! So, if we speak and act with the thoughts of a child of God, it becomes the life of a little Jesus.
elements of the gospel
Let's look at the elements of the gospel one more time. I've already said it before several times. It refers to "what God has done for us through Jesus Christ." That content is the gospel. Those who hear it come to realize and believe that in order to achieve their salvation, they must accept it as it is. Then all the content will be yours.
The preacher must always think about the content. Not only that, but you have to use it and apply it in your own life. After being saved, sanctification is not done by one's own strength. From beginning to end, salvation can be obtained only through the power of Christ. Love, sacrifice, a dignified life, and a beautiful life come only when we believe that God is working within us.
Calvin divided salvation into three elements. Election, forgiveness, and repentance. This is the content of the gospel. God sent his only begotten Son to save the elect. Throughout his life, he fulfilled the requirements of the law and paid the price for sin. Not only that, but through repentance, he was regenerated by the Holy Spirit and became a child of God.
Salvation stands on a rock by faith in the election. God has chosen us in Christ. When we have faith that we have been chosen, we cry powerfully to God. The Jews maintained their national identity for thousands of years with a single outward sense of choice. The doctrine of election provides greater strength in our prayers.
God did not leave the elect in sin, but sent his only begotten Son. So he was redeemed by his blood By believing that He died for our sins, we receive forgiveness and are reconciled to God. what a wonderful grace Because of the indescribable sin, I was forced to escape judgment and curse!
Even believers who do not like the doctrine of election know how important repentance and regeneration are. We can do anything in our lifetime. But if in the end you will be thrown into hell forever, where is such a terrifying thing! The most urgent thing is to avoid judgment and overcome the guilt in the world.
There is a trend that does not take seriously how terrible God's wrath and judgment are. But the church should take this seriously. Believers, too, tend to view the world as a big deal and not consider the work of salvation related to God. The essence of the gospel is that past sins have been completely forgiven through Jesus Christ.
But it doesn't stop there. God calls the elect by his voice and grants the merits of Christ to those whom he has called, so that they become his children in reality. Forgiveness of sins and going one step further and adopting children are two different things. These two are inseparable. Nevertheless, having children is a higher level of blessing.
God atoned for our sins through the blood of Jesus to make us His children. So we covered our shame and removed the curse. But it does not stop there, and by begetting us again, He changes our nature. The old man dies and a new man who repents is born again and grows up with a little taste of the power of new life that God has given him.
The gospel tells us that God has done all of this and is helping to make it happen in us. The life of a believer is absolutely impossible when we live on our own. Of course, so is the atonement. God has done it all. Then what is the life of power as a believer? So is it. The Spirit of God helps in us.
A preacher is a person who delivers the content of the good news that God has given. Those who hear this news and realize that they have no choice but to turn around. It's because it's so good for someone who's so miserable. Because people don't know and don't listen, the preacher uses a variety of methods to make it interesting. However, it is our duty to accurately convey the content of the Gospel.
The ministry of the Word makes all these contents of the gospel fulfilled by the power of God. Don't think of it as just being good at preaching in worship. The ministry of the Word includes the whole direction of the church and the training of believers. We must make the entire church life the power of the gospel. In that sense, nothing is more important than the evangelical ministry of the Word.
evangelical argument training
When writing a sermon, there are many cases where the topic is other than the gospel of God. We need training based on the Word of God, even the good news. That should be the standard for repentance, reform, mission, and social justice. If you are a believer, all fields of life, such as politics, economy, and society, should be considered based on the gospel of God.
Take, for example, the students' arguments. \"Let's build a just country.\" \"Let's become stronger in difficult times.\" \"Let's help our poor neighbors.\" \"Let's pray to receive power.\" \"Let's set our life goals right.\ “You can see arguments that are far from the Gospel. No matter how noble you are, if you don't do what Jesus did, you will have to do it on your own.
Let's look again at some of the students' arguments here. \"Let's enjoy true rest in Jesus.\" \"Believe in Jesus, the healer, and live healthy.\" \"Let's live with the power that the Lord gives.\" \"God makes us overcome.\" If you can create it, that's great. It is also true that I approached the gospel more than the previous ones.
All are positive and religious arguments. The name of Jesus is also included, and the work of God is also mentioned. However, in order for these contents to be applied in life, there must be content in between. It is the work of Christ. Without it, can we just vaguely say that God or Jesus can help?
Then, instead of God or Jesus, try putting the name of Buddha or an ancestor. \"Let's enjoy true rest in the Buddha.\" \"Believe in the Buddha, the healer, and live a healthy life.\" \"Let's live with the power that the Buddha gives.\" \"The Buddha makes us overcome.\" If you preach, there will be no problem. So, what is Christian preaching?
If you have preached this sermon in the temple, it means that you must obtain it through your own discipline, virtue, and effort. There is no difference between Buddha and Jesus in doing it on their own. However, in order to enjoy blessings through God's method and strength, you must absolutely know the contents of the gospel. It must receive as a gift the works that Christ has already accomplished.
The rest, healing, and power in Jesus must be gained through faith knowing that Jesus has already done it. Therefore, faith must be preceded by knowledge of the good news. Faith is trusting the content. If it becomes the driving force of life, you really become a person of faith. Let's refine the previous argument with that.
\"He who knows that Christ, who is peace itself, dwells in him, always rests." Those who have received it.\" \"Let us also enjoy the victory of Christ.\" Here is what Christ has done and what we are to do. believe and it will happen.
At first glance, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference. But the listener clearly knows where the power is coming from. If you keep hearing that way, you will live by the Lord's strength and your pride will decrease. The arguments of the previous students are not wrong. The goal is to make it a little clearer so that we can enjoy what Christ has done.
