Title [Previous] Live a purpose driven life

Contents

Ephesians 5:15-21

Ephesians emphasizes the beautiful life of the saints.

Chapters 1 through 3 tell us that God plans us before we are born, and that He makes us want and do it for the glory of God.

Among them, as we memorized, Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Chapters 4 to 6 tell the principles of the practical life of faith of the saints created for God's holy purpose.

We were created by God's grace, and we were saved by grace... The concluding remarks of 'therefore' are in verses 5:15-6.

“Therefore, be careful how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, saving time, for the days are evil.”

What does saving time mean? It's not just about passing time away, it's about making each hour your own.

In particular, if you look at the bottom of the text, there is a translation of the phrase "buy the opportunity" to save time, which means that a merchant can capture the time of business or trade well and make good use of it without missing out on it. A wise merchant must know when to buy and when to sell.

We should all be able to see eternity beyond this time now. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “God made all things, beautifying them in their seasons, and instilled in man a longing for eternity. But he has made it impossible for men to measure the works of God from beginning to end.” aren't you saying

So, how can we see eternity and prepare for eternity?

“Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is” (Ephesians 5:17).

You must understand what the will of the Lord is.

What is the most frustrating thing about working with a foreigner? Because I don't know what it means.

It's frustrating because I can't understand what the boss wants. Is the boss just frustrated? The foreigner is also frustrated.

If we do not know God's will, God is frustrated, and whether you know it or not, your soul and life are frustrated.

When you're having a hard time, say, "Hey! Why are you living...?” Some people ask. It's not because you don't know why you're living, it's because you don't know why you're living. You need to know why you live.

I know that it is not solved by eating, but also by having fun. It is not a matter of knowing a lot of worldly knowledge.

We need to know the will of God that is pleasing and desired. We need to know God's purpose for us.

You must live a purpose-driven life. A purpose-driven life will help us prepare for eternity using the rest of our lives.

someone says A young man in life is enough to go once, don't the flowers fade and bloom again next year? Is that so? Is it enough for a person's life to go away once?

The youth of this world is like that. If that's all, how vain are our lives?

But we are made to live forever. God did not create anything in this world to exist forever. Even if a tree lives for a thousand years or a tortoise for a thousand years, He did not make it to live forever.

What we need to know is that I was made for eternity. Knowing this, we will know that we are more valuable than anything else in this world.

The most important thing we need to learn is the purpose of life that God has given us.

Now, let's take a look at what we've learned so far about the five life goals we've learned from the 40-day campaign.

Let's look at the bulletin and remember again together. (Red is together, blue is pastor, black is saints)

First Purpose: Worship

I am designed for God's pleasure.

Therefore, I will use the rest of my days to love and get to know God more.

Second purpose: fellowship

I was born into the family of God.

So I will use the rest of my days to show love to others.

Third purpose: training

I was created to be like Christ.

So I will use the rest of my days to develop my character.

Fourth Purpose: Ministry

I was created to serve God.

So I will use the rest of my days to serve God by serving others.

Fifth purpose: evangelism

I was created for a mission.

Therefore, I will use the rest of my days to witness the gospel.

This is the purpose of life. This is why God sent us to this earth.

How can I live like that now? Are you done with 40 days? Absolutely not.

First of all, you must do what you learn.

“So faith without works is dead in itself” (James 2:17).

During the 40 days, I had many thoughts and changes.

“Do what you have learned from me, received, heard, and seen, and the God of peace will be with you.”

(Philippians 4:9)

I believe that something has changed for you as well. If you've started asking for forgiveness, expressing gratitude, and loving for 40 days, you've done well. It may be subtle, but it's important to put your mind's thoughts into action.

It takes courage to practice.

Why has the gospel of God become a powerless age?

This is because the time has come when believers know and do not act.

No matter how hard it may be, we have learned a lot more than in the past.

live longer. live better. live more comfortably.

However, it is good to hear and understand the Word of God, and it is good to be saved, it is good to receive blessings.

The era has come when people like to live their lives with modesty, and live a life of faith while only paying attention to what other people are doing.

There are not many people who cannot do it because they do not know what pleases God. However, there are many people who do not know. Why? because of the face. Because it is conscious of the human eye.

Because I don't want to sacrifice. It's because it doesn't seem right to the world to make sacrifices.

Because I'm lazy. I want to be treated and recognized by people.

It's because they fall in love with someone they like and think of it as merely providing their faith.

Tv, play, and chatting do not pass the time. I know it's not worth it.

Are you really busy? How busy are you? I really don't know how time flies. I don't know if it's worth the money.

These are all qualities that come from loving oneself. I seek my joy, my face, and my peace. But there is neither the glory of God nor the happiness of that life.

How would you like to play this role?

ex) Banquet commendation for 30 years of service, commendation for 25 years of service for elders!

let's not do that This life was not created for my satisfaction and glory. It's hard to live up to your purpose when you are dependent on people's praise. No, it's impossible.

How can a person who is for himself love God with all his heart, all his soul, all his mind, and all his strength?

How does a man for his own satisfaction serve with humility? It doesn't make sense and it doesn't actually work.

How can we be like Jesus even in the midst of suffering, contempt, and disrespect?

Don't be shy about people's compliments! Don't be offended by people's ignorance!

Rather, let's live according to the purpose God has given us, even if we don't know him or not.

It's not an easy road. But it is a blessed path.

Hallelujah!

God should know.

“Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:20).

Two months ago I heard that when we live for the glory of God, that is our happiness.

Truly yes. Those who live for the glory of God not only live a happy life on this earth, but live happily ever after.

We do not live alone, but we are the heavenly family.

We are the heavenly family belonging to the church that God always loves. I heard from a member of the congregation that our class meeting felt like a family. You don't know how grateful I was. But it has to be a real family.

Just as a whole family lives together and helps each other, you must live as God's family.

If you want to be holy, they tell you to turn away from people, hide in the backcountry, meditate alone or do something.

God tells us that if we want to be holy, we should not be alone, but be with others.

Why? Because holiness is love, and you can never love people without being with them.

This is one of the reasons why a class meeting is established in the church and a missionary church is organized.

When we pray for each other, God's grace is full. We can spread God's love through mutual encouragement and support. You need to meet and be with people in life who will be close to you, grow with you, and develop with you.

That is what the early church looked like.

“Let us not refrain from meeting together, as is the habit of some, but exhort us, and all the more as we see the day drawing near” (Hebrews 10:25).

Why? The reason is that we grow through fellowship.

Remember.

We are made for God's pleasure. That is why we worship God more and live today.

We are built into the family of God. That is why we live in family relationships with other believers.

I was created to be like Christ.

And it was built to serve God.

Built for missionary work.

Therefore, I must live my life responsibly for these purposes. You can never go back. Let's look at Philippians 3:16. “But wherever we have come, we will do it.”

How many of you remember all the contents of the book? Would you like to raise your hand? I can't remember everything in this book. So I encourage you to read the book again. It is true that perhaps we read too much for 40 days. So, I recommend starting from today and reading the book one more time. And this time, keep a spiritual journal as you read this book again, one lesson each day. I think it would be good to write down how you felt. In fact, some questions appear at the end of this book. I encourage you to reconsider the content of this book while reading this question together. Please read it.

And keep living your purpose.

I don't know how proud I am of you, especially when I go out and preach the word to other churches. In fact, proud of all of you. There is no other church like ours.

I want you not only to be people who cannot overcome the joy of God, but also to become my pride as Paul confessed. “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is preached in the whole world” (Romans 1:8).

Also, I bless you that you may answer one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, and submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Hallelujah!
