Sermons for Preaching

Title Principle of Harvest

Contents

Hymn: 271 (New Hymn 495) 'He who reaps the ripe grain'

Meditation: Looking forward to the fall of my life, my family, and my children, let's think 'how can I bear much fruit?'

Confession of Faith: Apostles' Creed

Text: 'This is the saying, whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully' (2 Corinthians 9:6).

When the harvest season comes, the natural world takes on two forms. One is the appearance of abundant fruit, and the other is the appearance of bare branches that are stretched out. When the fall of life comes, humans will also appear in two forms. There will be a life in which the harvest is abundant and a life in which there is no fruit. How can I get a lot of fruit?

If you meditate on verse 6 of the main text, you will reap a harvest little or a lot if you sow. Of course, the natural world and the human world do not harvest everything they sow. The natural world needs good seeds, good fields, and a good climate for a harvest. But the human world has nothing to worry about with good fields and good climates. Only good seeds matter. What are the good seeds that life should sow? It is the seed of the yearbook.

The text shows the 'rich yearbook' of the Corinthians. Annuals are the seeds sown in God's field. It is to thank Jehovah God for the grace of redemption, the grace of protection, and the grace of provision. But yearning is also a spiritual farming. It is planting seeds of blessing. It is also the seed of salvation.

The Bible says that you reap what you sow. He who sows little will reap little. How wicked would it be to have someone who does not sow and will reap? He who sows bountifully reaps bountifully. To get a good harvest, you need to plant a lot.

He who sows for the flesh will reap corruption. 'Those who sow for the flesh' are those who are stingy toward God and their neighbors and are rich in the pleasures, hobbies, and games of the flesh. In the winter of life, such people will reap what has been corrupted, that is, nothingness. But those who sow for God will reap eternal life. I pray in the name of Christ that you will become saints who harvest fruit in the fall of life.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me sow many seeds of blessing in order to become a person who will not regret when the season of fruitful life comes. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
