Title Priority
Priority of content means doing things before anything else. The Bible says this about priorities and their consequences.
“Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).
?? Reconcile first
He said, “Seek first the kingdom and its righteousness.” That kingdom is not the kingdom of the world, but the kingdom of God. The law of the kingdom of God is reconciliation. Children of the kingdom of God make peace. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God” (Matthew 5:9). Peace and happiness in the family is the foundation of reconciliation and obedience. “It is better for a house to be at peace with only a dry piece of bread than for a house full of flesh and strife” (Proverbs 17:1).
Reconciliation does not occur automatically. There must be things to reconcile, and there must be words to reconcile. “How good and beautiful it is for brothers to dwell together in unity…there the Lord hath commanded a blessing, eternal life” (Psalm 133:1,3) Be reconciled so that God blesses you. As a peacemaker, if possible, be at peace with all men.
?? Pray first.
Asking “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness” is prayer. Before becoming a minister, you must first become a person of prayer. A man took his son who was possessed by a mute demon and went to Jesus' disciples and asked them to heal him, but the disciples could not. After this happened, the disciples asked Jesus privately. “Why were we not able to cast out the demon? The Lord said, "This kind cannot come out by anything but prayer" (Mark 9:14-29).
I do not work, but prayer works. Prayer heals and prayer solves problems. Although the early church suffered persecution, they were victorious because of prayer. If you pray, there will be answers. Prayer gives you power. When you pray, miracles happen.
?? Treat yourself first.
The words that go are good and the words that come are good. There is a degree to which you have to have the will to go. To be treated, I have to treat myself first. “Therefore, in whatever way you would like others to do to you, do also to them, for this is the prophet and the law” (Matthew 7:12). “Wives, submit to your husbands... Husbands, love your wives and do not trouble them; children, obey your parents; fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, lest they become discouraged. With all your heart, work toward the Lord, and not men... for you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord, for you serve the Lord Christ” (Col 3:18-24)
During the reign of King Ahab, there was a drought and famine. A poor woman of Zarephath was picking up tree branches by the roadside to make her last meal with a handful of flour and a little oil, when Elisha the prophet called. “First make a little loaf of it for me and bring it to me, and then make it for you and your son.” As it was, the flour and oil did not run out until the famine was over (1 Kings 17:1-16). As a result of treating the people of God first, there was no lack in the 3 years and 6 months of drought and famine.
I have work to do first. Do what you do first and you'll get good results later. Please give me first. Plant it first. As you sow, you will reap a hundredfold, sixtyfold, thirtyfold.
