Title Problem Solving/John 6:16-21
☞Text: John 6:16-21 “As it was evening, the disciples went down to the sea and crossed the sea in a boat to Capernaum, but it was already dark and Jesus had not yet come to them. A great wind blew and the waves rose. The disciples were rowing about a dozen li, and when they saw Jesus walking on the sea and approaching the boat, they were afraid. And he said to them, "It is I, do not be afraid."
What goals do you have, what efforts are you making to achieve them, and are you progressing without any setbacks?
Are there any difficulties or obstacles in achieving your goals?
Or are you having any setbacks in your religious life to achieve your goals?
In order to achieve the goal, is there any case of disobeying the commandments of the Sunday holy water or the command of tithing, or neglecting the given position?
One day, Jesus' disciples were sailing from the Sea of Galilee to a village called Capernaum on the other side. It wasn't too far away, and some of them were fine bones from the Sea of Galilee, so getting to the destination wasn't a problem. But that day was different from usual. A gust of wind has reached the point of extreme danger, and it has become unclear whether they will reach their intended destination. They are experienced and skilled, but helpless in the face of the storm.
Dear saints, sometimes unexpected storms happen in your life. What you start with thinking it will be simple is surprisingly difficult and reaches a point of danger. A significant number of people experience these trials in their marriage. I started dreaming of a sweet home that I would be able to live better than anyone else, but there are a lot of difficult obstacles contrary to what I thought. The personality of a couple who thought they would get along so well can't help but match. In Korea, when three people get married, one couple divorces, but most say it is a personality difference. Not only that, but also in business. The same is true for children's education. There are unexpected gusts of wind, and sometimes we are helpless in the face of the gusts.
Look at the boat the disciples were on here. Two problems arose.
The first is verse 17, “I crossed the boat and went to Capernaum, and it was already dark.” You don't have time to reach your goals.
The second is in verse 18, “A great wind blew and the waves rose.” A fatal obstacle has arisen in achieving the goal.
Humans are creatures that are limited by time. The psalmist said, "Our years are seventy, and if we are strong, we are eighty years old, but their pride is in toil and sorrow; they go quickly, and we fly away" (Psalm 90:10), "Therefore all flesh is like grass, and all its glory is You are like the flowers of the grass, the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever” (1 Peter 1:24-25).
No matter how talented and experienced you are, if you don't have time, your talents and experience are of no use. If you're older, even if I'm only 10 years younger! If only I had a little more time! I regret the years that have passed.
Not only that, there are obstacles in life. If you go to the homeless people and ask them, they will most likely answer something like this. I would say that if it had not been for the great wind and the great waves in my life, I would not have been like this, and I would have been very successful. If it wasn't for AMF, if there weren't any illnesses, if there weren't any accidents, if there weren't any bankruptcies! Even if there is no fire! It is life that collapses and turns upside down in front of big winds and waves.
How were the disciples? The day was already dark, and a great wind blew up, and I wondered if they could save their lives, let alone going to the other side of Capernaum, their destination, but they arrived safely at the land they were going to. how. Have you been lucky?
Verses 19-21 record this:
"The disciples were rowing about ten li, and when they saw Jesus walking on the sea and approaching the boat, they were afraid. And he said to them, "It is I, do not be afraid."
Jesus walked to them on the sea that night, but was it a ghost at first? I was afraid, but when I realized that it was Jesus, I was glad to receive it in a boat, and said, "The boat immediately came to the land they were going to."
You have arrived at your destination. The goal was soon achieved.
The problem of time and obstacles was easily solved by accepting Jesus, what was impossible because there was not enough time to achieve the goal, and what was impossible because of obstacles. I don't know how it was solved.
Why? Jesus has the power to solve all things. Jesus is Almighty God. This is because He is the One who heals all incurable diseases, solves all problems, and is in charge of human life, death, fire, and happiness.
Matthew 14:32 “He got into the boat, and the wind stopped.” In Matthew 8:26, Jesus rebuked the wind and the waves, and there was silence. Any obstacles in life can be scolded and pursued. Only He can solve the problem of time. He called Moses at the age of 80 to do the great job of bringing the Israelites out of Egypt and leading them to Canaan.
Brothers and sisters, where is that Jesus at that time?
Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live; but Christ lives in me, and the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. to live," he said. Jesus is in me the moment I believe. To believe in Jesus means to have Jesus in you.
Jesus, who can solve all our problems in life, is in me.
John 15:5-7 "I (Jesus) am the vine, and you are the branches. If he abides in me (Jesus) and I (Jesus) in him, then a man bears much fruit; apart from me you are nothing. For if a man does not abide in me, it is thrown out like a branch and withers away. People gather it and throw it into the fire and burn it. If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done "You said, can you say that the branches of the vine stick and fall? There is not. Therefore, this verse presupposes at the outset, "I am the vine, and you are the branches." Then, “If he is in me and I abide in him” that follows is to believe and acknowledge that Jesus is the vine and I am the branch attached to the tree.
“Apart from me you can do nothing” means that the goal cannot be achieved unless you believe and acknowledge Jesus in me.
Everyone, I hope you don't succumb to the foolish thought that I will achieve my plan with my own strength. It cannot be. Time is running out and obstacles cannot be overcome. Don't think that my skills, talent, experience, knowledge, can overcome it. It goes out like a cold breeze.
When you say "I'm sick", even the time you've spent so far is wasted. When you say "dead", there is no more time. When you say “it happened,” time goes backwards. I have to start over!
You say, "I will pray, volunteer, and donate after achieving the goal I set." Who achieves that goal? Jesus can do it. So you can't neglect the work for him. How can you delay praying to Him?
“Lord in me, Lord in me, Lord in me, Lord in me, Lord in me, build me up”
Believe it. It means that Jesus is in you and directs your life. Don't lament because you don't have time to achieve your goals, don't be afraid that obstacles have come, and acknowledge Jesus who is in you right now. Leave it to that person. how. Say, "Jesus, take this matter." Pray. And believing that Jesus will take care of me, I do the Lord's work. And do what the Lord has entrusted to you
Believing in Jesus is not chasing after illusions or catching floating clouds. I believe that Jesus, who is the reality, is in me, and I have a personal encounter with him. He is a personal person. He is the one who gave his life for us on the cross.
He promised, "I will always be with you to the end of the world."
