Title Promotion /Mark 4:30-32
content promotion
First of all, congratulations to all of you who are promoted. Promotion means growth. It means progress. It means stepping into something newer. I hope that you, your loved ones, will make further progress and growth in your faith.
Today's message is an important part of what Jesus taught us about our faith. This is the parable of the mustard seed that he told while speaking the parables about the kingdom of God. He said that the kingdom of God is the size of a mustard seed. This is a lesson about growth and fruitage, starting with small things and reaping big things.
In Israel, the mustard seed is said to be the smallest seed. However, when it grows, it becomes a large tree, and birds are often seen nesting it. What does Jesus want us to do today, who taught us to grow in faith in these lessons? This is a very meaningful teaching.
Now you are promoted from Kindergarten to Children's Department. I was promoted from middle school to high school, and from high school to youth. I hope that you will be used more preciously by God through continuous growth and development in faith. At the promotion service, I am thinking of the parable of the mustard seed, and I am trying to think about its meaning and lesson.
1. Promotion means hope.
Graduation is a ceremony of hope. Because it is a new beginning and a beginning.
Hope doesn't start with something big. Always start small and build big. A person who lives with hope can be used in society and in the church. Also, people of hope can give hope to many people. Advancement is to start with a better hope than now. Therefore, all aspects of spirit and body must be filled with more hope. I hope that you will be able to move forward anew while relying on the Lord.
2. Promotion means growth.
The existence of life is characterized by growth. If you don't grow, you're ill. Growth leaves new joys and rewards. You, who are now graduating from high school and being promoted to the youth club, also had a childhood childhood. Through this process, we have reached today. This process is growth.
3. You who are promoted must have a little faith like a mustard seed.
Faith also grows from small things. Little means humility. A humble person can be loved by God everywhere. The most valuable thing for a believer begins with humility. Humility is an attitude of respect for others.
Those who make small things big are those who grow up. He is a living person. This is the true believer, and this is the person required by this age. Even a small belief, whether it looks like a mustard seed or not, is the basis for growing great faith. Please do not forget that you are a person of faith in your studies, at home, and anywhere in society.
I congratulate all of you who have been promoted, and I would recommend a few words to you.
1. Please always remember that you are the first graduates of the Saemmul Church.
① For the first time (division, junior high school, youth division is too weak, not a single 4-year college student)
② I thought that we should raise them in faith (study for a month during summer and winter vacations, 5 hours or more, prayer meeting and meditation, praise, meal, morning exercise, English math study, and human relations training in the evening every year)
③ The tradition continues to this day
④ Now, more people attend universities in Seoul or other regions than those who attend universities in Jeonbuk
⑤ Even so, they leave this church (their goal is to bring the groom even if they get married. Even if they get married, they go to a place where they can come out of this church)
⑥ Do a lot of volunteer work and service activities (teacher training every year, at this time, a buffet-style meal is served, young people work part-time and save 1 million won, and we will have one meal. The pastor checked and told me to do it next year as everything is in order. heard)
This church was also weak at first. However, as the first graduates follow and grow well, they inherited the tradition and continued to grow by following the path.
Beloved, I hope that you will become people of hope who can start from small things like a mustard seed and become a big tree nestled by birds, like the first graduates of the Saemmul Church.
2. Please always think of this church (Saemmul Church) wherever you are.
The Israelites were a temple-centered community. Wherever they were, they lived around the temple. Even when I was living in the wilderness and had no home, I made a church out of tents and served God with the temple as the center. This is the tabernacle, the tabernacle of meeting.
Although Daniel was away from his home country as a captive, he always longed for the temple in Jerusalem. They lived with Zionist ideology. Wherever I was, I thought of the temple in Jerusalem and lived while looking at the temple. This is not the attitude of some idolaters. It is the fact that you will live a life overflowing with God's great blessings when you learn and live your life centered on the temple, always thinking of the body that is the foundation of your faith.
Many churches produce thousands of graduates each year, but they are going the other way. Many people leave the world around April or May after entering college. This is because they do not live centered on the temple and do not live centered on the Word of God.
3. Live with a sense of ownership.
Park Chan-ho entered the United States and fought well with world-class baseball players. We returned to Korea after two years, and you don't know how welcome we were. At first, a player named Chan-ho Park was not that famous in our country. However, since they are doing well, there is no reason to be busy when they return home and receive invitations here and there. However, it is said that he donated tens of thousands of won to his alma mater, Hanyang University, not long ago. In fact, he did not graduate from Hanyang University to advance to the United States. I want to drop out in 2 years. But when I do well, it reminds me of my alma mater. This is the sense of ownership.
Dear friends, I hope that you will continue to live with a sense of ownership of the Saemmul Church, the foundation of your faith.
I hope that you will study more by faith and become people of faith who fear God.
♣ I hope you will grow stronger physically. ♣ I hope that wisdom will also grow.
♣ I hope that you will become people who can be honored and loved by God and all people.
May today be a new starting point for further development. May God's great love and grace overflow to all of you who are advancing.
