title; most want to have
Bible; Proverbs 8: 14-21
Like everyone else, I have a lot of things I want and want to do. If I go to an art exhibition, I want to draw well, and if I go to a concert, I want to be good at singing or playing an instrument. When I go to the playground, I also want to become a capable athlete. I play tennis every morning, and if someone has a good racket and says they like it, I want it. Since I use cameras as a hobby, I have a lot of greed for cameras and lenses. Above all, I wish I had one of those goblin bats I heard when I was young. You can always have whatever you want. In this way, greed has no degree or limit. Who in the world is not greedy for material things? But you should know that there is something more precious than that.
When I was young, my teacher at a church school told me the story of Solomon. You don't know how much fun I heard. Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings to God, and God asked Solomon what he wanted. Solomon asked for wisdom, and God gave him wisdom. So Solomon became a wise king. After hearing this story, the title of my map changed to one. It has become a habit to say, “Give me wisdom and understanding that I do not miss when praying”.
The Bible teaches us that wisdom is first of all. It is better than gold and silver, better than any treasure. Therefore, what you most want to have is wisdom. Why?
First, wisdom has all the ways. “I have counsel and true knowledge; I have understanding, because I have power” (14). King Solomon left many anecdotes related to wisdom. Among them, the most well-known story is the anecdote about the trial. I overcame a really difficult situation wisely. Jesus also went through a lot of crises and embarrassments. One day, a woman in adultery was brought to Jesus. They accused Jesus of blaming the law. At that time, Jesus was thinking about it, and he said that he who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at him, and they all withdrew. Jesus escaped the crisis.
Not only in the stories of the Bible, but in the world, wisdom is the key to coping and winning all things. All problems are solved with wisdom, not with gold, silver, and wealth. It is often said that the inexperienced carpenter blames the tools. When you play tennis, there are people who are very good at it. Even if I get a racket and try it out because I'm good at what kind of racket I'm using, I'm not good at it. You have to have basic skills, but the racket is not the problem.
Second, all nobles acted with wisdom. “Through me kings rule, and princes establish justice; through me kings and nobles rule, all the righteous judges” (15-16). The kings who ruled the country with wisdom were all saints. In Korea, the king who will remain in history for a long time is King Sejong the Great. Although there are many scientific achievements, especially the establishment of Hangeul is a global event. You don't know how simple and good writing is. It can be said that Hangeul played a part in Korea reaching this point. There are almost no illiterate people in our country. Onomatopoeia, onomatopoeia There are no words that cannot be expressed. The shape of the letters is clear and the expression is clear and accurate.
A wise management brings justice to this society. A fool is obsessed with wealth that will perish with power. It is not known how far the fake degree problem of Jung-ah Shin will expand. And it is not wise for the Blue House to keep getting involved in these things. What is it that is regrettable and lacking, so why do you commit such a shameful thing?
Third, wisdom has everything it wants. He said, “I have riches and honor, and so are the long wealth and justice” (18). Last Wednesday, while the church was under construction, I gave this admonition while preaching at the church. How difficult would it be to build a church? They say that now all their finances are invested in building the church. So I told you not to seek gold and silver when you are in short supply, but to pray that you do not lose the wisdom of faith.
The most important thing is not how much or how little wealth is, but how it is used. The riches of the wise are few but many. But the riches of the unwise and foolish are many but few.
