Title Proverbs Study 21 (Proverbs 24:15-21)
Content "Do not aim for the nest of good people
Don't ruin the house he lives in.
Bad people meet disaster and perish
A good man falls seven times and gets up again."
(24:15)
Human history is the history of the battle between good and evil. However, there is a tragedy in human history that evil triumphs over good. We should overcome evil with good, but that is not the case in reality. Therefore, there is no truth and peace in human history. Without truth and peace, people are bound to be gripped by distrust and hatred.
In God's Word, good triumphs over evil. That's why I advise you not to aim for the nest of good people. Cain killed Abed. However, Cain was pushed out of God's history and "Seth" appeared as the master of the new history. Cain's descendants lived under the threat of murder and vengeance, but Seth's descendants became the first to "worship on the name of the LORD."
The first sign of the destruction of human society is the phenomenon of violence and lawlessness. And false prophets come to the fore. So, when times are tough, good people either hide or become victims. A society without good and righteous people is ruled by the power of darkness. The end of this world will lead to war. This is because it becomes the last resort to suppress public sentiment and justify injustice. Otherwise, false prophets and hypocritical intellectuals will appear everywhere and confuse the minds of people with all kinds of nonsense, making the people foolish. But it is the human experience that good people are the ultimate winners.

"Don't like it when your enemies fall
Do not rejoice that he is ruined.
Yahweh was displeased with it
He turns away wrath from your enemies” (24:17-18).
“Vengeance is mine” (Deuteronomy 32:35), so Jesus said, “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:43-).
The apostle Paul said, "Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God. If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink" (Romans 12:19-20).
It is the teaching of Jesus and the counsel of the apostles to not rejoice in the misfortune of the enemy, but to have compassion on the enemy's misfortune and help them. So it should be run as is. Otherwise, you are rebelling against Jesus. The way to overcome the enemy is to "overcome evil with good". That is the truth of the Bible.
If we take pleasure in our enemies' misfortunes and rejoice in them, then God will be displeased with them. Nor is it the way to overcome the enemy. And God also gives up on avenging. Therefore, he sympathizes with the enemy's misfortune and prays for it. He said to leave it to God to take revenge, so following it is faith and obedience. If you deeply love your enemy's misfortune, God, who was going to take revenge, will change your mind. Earl

“It is not right to be unfair when it comes to judging.
Whoever says the sinner is innocent
Cursed by the people and condemned by all nations.
Whoever covers the sin right away
will be praised and blessed" (24:23-25)
To achieve a healthy society, justice must be realized. The most concrete way to contribute to the realization of justice is to do justice right away. It is about finding the sinner right away and not accusing the innocent person of being a sinner. In this way, people can live in the world with peace of mind. In a society where trial is a political instrument, injustice and violence will only rule. That is why they claim the independence of the judiciary.
A society in which judgment is not fair is subject to the curse of the people. It causes riots. And they are criticized and laughed at by the world. At one time, South Korea was severely criticized by a British journalist. "Expecting democracy in Korea is like finding a rose in a trash can." What a shameful and insulting criticism, but what is surprising is the fact that those words are still being hit 30 years later. We have not yet made a historical evaluation of the issue of the 5th ball and the October Restoration. It's pathetic The only way to become a truly blessed nation and a nation to be admired is for justice to be realized in trials.

“Speaking of truth is true friendship” (24:428).
People start looking for friends from the moment they take their mouth off their mother's nipples. So, in a strict sense, people live the longest with their friends. But people value other things more than friends. There are many people who give up their friends for things like blood relatives or wealth and honor. It's absurdly stupid.
In particular, the most valuable existence in social life is a friend. The greater the help of a friend, the better and safer a person's social life. Therefore, friendships between friends should be eternal. Betraying a friend is turning a friend into an enemy. Relatives fight against each other, but between friends they become enemies.
True friendship is saying the right things to your friends, even if you don't want to hear them.
Seeing a friend's failure and thinking indifferently is not friendship, but evidence of living using a friend. To be friends is to trust each other. Because we are trusting each other, we should not look down on the defeat of a friend.
Jesus said, "Greater love hath no one than this, that one lay down one's life for a friend" (John 15:13). Then he said, "Ye are my friends." The greatest way to be a friend of Jesus is to lay down your life for your friend. Therefore, true friendship must listen to the right words, even the words you hate to hear. This is the truth of the Bible.
