There is a secret to making our lives successful. It is God's love. Our life will be a work life when we love our Jehovah God. If you love God, you can live a life that is much more powerful than your own. In that sense, we do not know how precious a life of praising and worshiping God is.
The psalmist of today's text also sings in anticipation of such grace. (Verse 5) Look at the Word.
"The Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever. His faithfulness extends from generation to generation."
God is good. And His mercy is eternal and faithful. That is why he will work together for good to those who are called according to his purpose.
If we live according to God's will, what must we do to live a life overflowing with grace from generation to generation?
First, we must live joyfully and brightly in the Lord (verse 1).
It means expressing fervent respect for God and rejoicing in God.
When you live your life of faith, you have to do it with a happy and joyful heart. We Christians should have no dark corners and no wrinkles. You should live with the seriousness of life, but you should always live with a bright image. Of course, even saints can weep. But those tears are never tears of despair. Sometimes when we are sad, we can sympathize with them, but that is never frustration. It is to share our sorrows with others, and we can overcome any sorrow. Because we are the people who fundamentally solved the problem of death and death.
Second, we must serve the Lord with joy (verse 2).
You must serve only the Lord. But we must serve Jehovah with joy, not under compulsion. What is the concrete expression of our faith? Serving the church with joy. When we serve God with joy, God is pleased and opens the way.
(Psalm 37:4) This is what it says.
"Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
God sees our attitude. If you have faith, you must also have devotion. God will truly bless those who know how to rejoice in devotion.
Third, we must know the Lord more (verse 3).
The psalmist stresses the earnest need to know God more. Even if you start a life of faith without knowing it at first, you must gradually get to know God. It is often said that ignorance is the mother of superstition. If you don't know, you will fall into superstition. Therefore, we must work harder and harder to know God and the Bible. But knowing God, what do we need to know in particular about God?
We need to know that God is our God and we are His sheep.
What is the conclusion of the Bible? "Jesus is the answer!" Today, I hope that you will receive the guidance of the Lord, our shepherd.
