Title Psalm 112 1-10 (June 21, 2011)

Contents

those who fear the Lord

Hallelujah, I sincerely hope that the Lord will be gracious to us this morning.

The words of Psalm 112 tell in detail how those who fear the Lord live in this world.

Today's psalm says that blessed are those who fear the Lord and delight in the commands. In other words, those who serve God well in this world and enjoy the Word will enjoy blessings through God's grace.

Those who fear the Lord are those who live righteously according to the guidance of God. Fear God and always humbly obey His will. Those who fear the Lord rejoice not only in the Lord's covenants but also in His instruction.

We also confess our faith with a sincere heart. They live for righteous purposes. Verse 4 tells us that those who have a righteous purpose are honest.

In fact, they have good intentions at the heart, just as they do on the outside, and treat God and people with sincerity and sincerity from the heart. Simply put, it is difficult to have true faith if your heart is not honest. A sincere heart is the completion of the Lord's gospel.

Also, in verse 5, those who fear the Lord do good deeds to those around them as ‘one who lends favors to others’.

In today's text, verse 6 tells us that the righteous man does not waver and is always content. “A person like that will never be shaken”

Sometimes a person with an evil heart afflicts the righteous with all kinds of bad rumors and deeds in order to damage the reputation of those who fear the Lord. The text says that they do not fear them more and more firmly, relying on the Lord.

On the other hand, what about those who do not fear the Lord? They say it will be very painful. The main reason they suffer is that the fact that the righteous enjoy unspeakable happiness makes them suffer. These days, there are people who feel that the wicked do better. But in the end, if they are governed by God's grace, only the righteous will receive God's blessings.
