Have you ever had someone help you solve a problem when you are afraid that you cannot do it on your own? How did you feel then? God intervenes in our lives. He delights in intervening to save His children when they are in trouble.
1. God Intervenes in History (Verses 1-2)
Israel was a terrible slave in Egypt for 400 years. And finally, under the guidance of God, we were able to go to the promised land of Canaan after the Exodus. Even in the wilderness, on the way to Canaan, God clothed and fed the people, and protected them from the cold and heat. Eventually, God allowed Israel to enter the Promised Land and worship God in that land. God appeared to Israel centering on the sanctuary and reigned over them. In other words, God made Israel a holy people under the direct rule of God. God is the one who intervenes. He intervenes not only in the history of nations and peoples, but also in the history of individuals. Even now, God is intervening in our lives and leading us to the best path.
2. God Intervenes in Nature (verses 3-6)
When the Israelites left Egypt, they met the Red Sea and the Jordan River. When I was helplessly frustrated in front of the great nature, God intervened. Then the Red Sea fled and the Jordan River retreated. God was with the people of Israel, and the great sea was parted with a great river and became dry land. If God intervenes, nothing can stop Him. Human beings have no choice but to humble themselves with fear and trembling in the face of God's wonderful deeds. Seeing God intervening in nature rejoiced in God's creation, all things in the universe, mountains, and plants. God rules all creation in the best way possible. He subdues all things and makes them submissive. We have no choice but to fear and praise God while looking at the work of God.
3. God fills the lives of the saints (verses 7-8)
God is also the One who meets all human needs. When the Israelites were thirsty in the wilderness, He gave them water. When he was hungry, he gave him manna and quail. God cares for the needs of his people. He prepares and supplies the needs of his beloved children. Sometimes with material things, sometimes with health, he fills each need. God knows every need of life. When we ask, God does not turn away and fills us with joy. We should praise the God who fills us.
The hand of God is invisible, but it is the most powerful and absolute hand. Because his hands make all things, rule, and judge. That hand of power has saved us. I hope that you will remember God's redemption and become believers who praise and fear Him every day.
