Introduction
The person who gives praise is the person who has received God's grace, and the blessed nation and people should give it. So, in the text, we want to find out who is to be praised and who is to be praised.
1. The nations that have received the Gospel must give it (verse 1).
“Praise the Lord, all you nations, and praise him, all you peoples.”
This is not limited to Israel, but includes all nations that have received the Gospel. That's right. The nations and peoples who have received the gospel of God's redemption must praise God. In other words, it is right to praise God on a national scale.
2. The saved saints must give. (Verse 1)
“Praise him, all you peoples.”
The Apostle Paul said, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with all heavenly blessings, who chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him He predestined us to become his sons through Jesus Christ, according to his good pleasure, that we might not be destroyed, to the praise of the glory of his grace, which is freely given to us in him whom he loves” ( Ephesians 1:3-6) Therefore, the saved saints must return glory and praise to God.
3. We must give to God who showed mercy (verse 2).
“Great is the mercy of the Lord toward us, and His faithfulness endures forever. Hallelujah."
The psalmist said, "Give thanks to the Lord. He is good, and his mercy endures forever. Say, O Israel, his mercy endures forever. O house of Aaron, his mercy endures forever. You who fear the Lord, his mercy endures forever." Say that your mercy endures forever” (Psalm 118:1-4). That's right. We must praise God for his mercy.
conclusion
Those who have breath should praise God. In particular, the nation that has received the gospel must praise God on a large scale, the saved believers must always sing praise (Hebrews 13:15), and the nation and nation must give praise to God who has shown mercy. The reason is that God created man and saved him for the purpose (Isaiah 43:7, 21; Ephesians 1:6-14).
