Title: What to Give to the Lord

Text: (Psalm 117:1~118:7)

Hymns: 438. my soul is blessed

Date: June 28, 2011 (Tuesday) 5 am

Venue: Jeonju Yebut Church Small Worship Room

People love to receive. When you receive a gift and receive a compliment, you feel good. We have received indescribable things from God. What can we give to God that we have received in this way? In today's text, the psalmist urges us to give to God. Let's see what the poet offers to God.

1. We must praise the Lord. (117:1~2)

The poet calls for praise to all nations, to all peoples. The reason to praise is that God's great mercy and eternal truthfulness will be bestowed upon all nations. God protects and protects His people to the end. And his love for his people never changes. He never changes what he promises. He always keeps his promises under any circumstances and circumstances. Humans change according to circumstances and circumstances, but God does not change. I hope that we will continue to praise God, who gives eternal love to humans, without stopping today.

2. We must give thanks to the Lord (118:1)

I ask the poet to thank the Lord. The reason we should be thankful to the Lord is that all that God gives to His people is good, and the love of distinction is eternal. The psalmist sings of the mercy of God, who did not turn away from his prayers in suffering and saved us from suffering. God never turns away from the prayers of those who trust in Him. The love of the world is selfish and temporary, but God's love for his chosen people is good and has no end. Today we too should give thanks to the good God who answers our prayers. We should be thankful that God has given us blessings and gifts that are suitable for each of us and that He has given us infinitely abundant love. Those who have experienced God's mercy and love cannot help but thank Him.

3. The Lord is on my side (118:7)

The poet experienced God's help and protection. When I was in pain, I cried out to God, and he answered and freed the poet from his pain. You have led me to a place where there is no threat from enemies, and where there is freedom and liberty. The poet then realized that God was on his side. He realized that if God helped him, there was nothing he could do. Realizing this fact dispelled fear and brought peace. No matter how great of power and authority a person may have, he is just a helpless creature in the sight of Almighty God. Also, God Himself retaliates against those who oppose His people. Don't be afraid of people. And trust that God is on my side. Today God will go ahead and fight ahead for us.

God is the King of kings and the Creator of heaven and earth. In this way, because God Almighty is on our side to protect and protect us, nothing can harm us. I hope that you will become the saints who give thanks and praise to God who is forever on our side and being our shadow.

<Prayer>

1. May we give praise and thanks to the Lord every day!

2. Let the young disciples live the lives of disciples who are filled with the Holy Spirit!

3. Heal the weak patients and lead them to the place of worship!
