Title: Trust in God

Text: (Psalm 118:8~18)

Hymns: Chapter 8. holy holy holy

Date: June 29, 2011 (Wednesday) 5 am

Venue: Jeonju Yebut Church Small Worship Room

What is the greatest need between parents and children? Perhaps it is trust. A harmonious family can be established when children trust their parents and parents also trust their children. Today's text contains the confession of a person who trusts in God. How will God lead us when we trust Him?

1. Trust in God (verses 8-9)

In the midst of suffering, the poet had to decide whether to trust God or man. He decides to trust God. I confess to the Lord that it is better to avoid than to trust in men. We confess that only God is our true refuge. When you trust people, you seem to succeed, but in the end you fail. But trusting in God may seem difficult, but in the end you will win. It is easy for people to rely on someone they see when they are in trouble and trials. But there is no better way than to rely on God. When we rely on God and take refuge under His wings, He will lead us in the best way.

2. A petition for victory (verses 10-14)

The poet was in a state that was beyond human ability to overcome. Enemies surrounded me like bees. Then he called on the name of the Lord earnestly. Even if enemies surrounded him, he believed that no one could harm him if he trusted and sought the Lord, because He would protect him. Rather, he was convinced that he could defeat his enemies with God-given power. In the end, according to his conviction and faith, God saved him. Enemies arose to harm them, but they became powerless before God. No matter how strong the adversary tries to harm us, their toil is in vain when God is with us. No matter how hard or difficult you are in, when you pray to God, you will be victorious with the help of the Almighty.

3. Declaring God (verses 15-18)

The poet's victory was because the Lord intervened. With the help of God, his dwelling place was filled with the voices of joy and salvation. He confesses once again that his salvation was due to the great power of God. He also confesses that he has realized his sin through suffering. And now boldly proclaim the Lord's deeds. Those who have experienced God's power and work in this way must proclaim His wonderful deeds. We are people who have experienced God's power and action. Therefore, like a poet, we must preach and proclaim God's marvelous deeds to the world. I hope that you will become saints who preach and proclaim the God who helps and the God who gives you victory.

Just as children trust their parents, children of God must trust God. When we trust in God and call on His name, He will do amazing things. What problem are you struggling with right now? What do you rely on? Trust God. May you experience God's help.

<Prayer>

1. Let us trust only the Lord, and let us only look to the Lord

2. Pray for a revival of Wednesday worship and overflowing with the anointing of the Holy Spirit!

3. Let intercession be activated and raise up faithful intercession warriors!
