Introduction
It has been said in many places that those who serve God prosper in every way (Exodus 23:25-26). He also spoke about how to serve God (Romans 12:11, Acts 23:1). In any case, if you serve God, you will receive blessings.
What blessings do those who serve the Lord receive?
1. My work is prosperous. (Verses 1-2)
“Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord and lives according to His commands. If you eat as much as you work with your hands, this is a blessing and a grace.”
What you know here is what you serve. He said 'be in awe.' This means that we should honor God and have difficulty. In other words, it refers to a person who fears God and purifies himself from all uncleanness in body and spirit and in places where no man sees (2 Corinthians 7:1). We do not mean those who serve God only with words, but those who truly serve God carefully and with a heart in fear that God is alive.
2. I am happy because of my wife and children (verses 3-4).
“Your wife in your house is like a vine that bears much fruit, and your children around your table are like saplings of olive trees. Those who fear the Lord are thus blessed.”
God created humans and blessed them to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28). So, getting married is a blessing and having children is a blessing. The psalmist said, "Children are a gift from the Lord, and the fruit in the womb is a reward from the Lord. A child born in youth is like an arrow in the hand of a warrior" (Psalm 127:3-5). . That's right. To glorify God by marrying, forming a family, and having children is a blessing for those who serve God.
3. Let us receive blessings through the church (verses 5-6).
“May the Lord bless you in Zion. For the rest of your life you will live seeing the grace of Jerusalem. I will live a long and long life watching my sons and daughters and grandchildren.”
This strongly suggests that you will be blessed through the church by saying, 'You will see the grace of Jerusalem all your life'. Therefore, those who serve God must do their best in many ways for the Church of God. There are many ways to go to the church. There is a way to evangelize, there is a way to serve with sacrifice and devotion, there is a way to get the help of the Holy Spirit by making the church peaceful, and there is a way to receive praise from people by refraining from speaking and doing. And there are various ways, such as praying for the church and giving money for the church. Therefore, you should not insist on only one and create problems thinking that there is no other than that. If you think that all you do is do everything and hinder the unity of the church, it is better to not work and promote the peace of the church. Because they work together for good (Romans 8:28).
conclusion
Those who serve God will receive many blessings both physically and spiritually. We hope that all things will prosper by serving you better while serving, and that we will receive blessings at home and through the church for generations to come.
