Text: (Psalm 102:1-28)

Hymns: 336. In the midst of tribulation and persecution

Date: September 28, 2010 (Tuesday) 5 am

Venue: Jeonju Yebut Church Small Worship Room

Introduction

God disciplines those he loves, but when he is disciplined, it is painful and painful. But the author of the book of Job said, "Behold, blessed are those who are disciplined by God; therefore, do not despise the rebuke of the Almighty, for God makes them sick, and binds them up, and breaks them, and heals them with his hands" (Job 5:17-18 ) did.

What should we do when we are disciplined?

1. My body and mind get tired. (Verses 3-5)

This means that the mind and body are extremely tired. But Peter said, "Rejoice that ye share in the sufferings of Christ, that you may rejoice and rejoice in his glory" (1 Peter 4:13). This means that God will comfort and help you, whether you are suffering from God's discipline or suffering from temptation. So when we pray, the Spirit of God is with us (1 Peter 4:14).

2. There is the enemy's blasphemy (verse 8).

For David, this was a blow. Inside, I was exhausted and I was about to collapse, but outside, the enemies attacked me, so I was in a very difficult situation. Those who are disciplined before God end up in a miserable situation, so their enemies ignore them and try to harm them even more. But you have to be patient with those hardships. Only then will you receive the comfort and blessings of God.

3. We must pray with tears (verses 9-11).

But David didn't just complain, he prayed to God.

"Lord, hear my prayer, and let my cry come to You. When I suffer, do not hide Your face. Incline Your ear to me. When I cry, answer me quickly." (1-2) did. David is a man who prays a lot to God whenever he is in trouble. This is because God hears his prayers, has compassion on him, and delivers him from difficult sufferings. He prayed because he believed in God's promises (Psalm 50:15).

conclusion

When anyone is disciplined, it is extremely hard on body and mind, and enemies rush in with contempt, and many difficulties overlap inside and outside. In that case, you must unconditionally pray to God with tears. Because only prayer can solve all problems (Mark 9:29).
