Little children are not afraid of anything when they are with their father. It's because he's small and powerless, but he's convinced that his father is strong. David in the text also has the confidence and faith that God is with him and helps him in the midst of suffering. Let's listen to his confession of faith together.
1. Praise (verses 1-6)
David declares his determination to praise God. Even at dawn, I wake up and decide to wake up the dawn with praise. He was able to make such a declaration and determination because he realized that God's love is higher than heaven and his truth is greater than anything in the world. David also wants the whole earth to exalt and glorify God. He wants not only himself, but the whole world to praise God. Everyone who knows God should praise God like David. In order for God to be praised by everyone, everyone in the world must first know Him. Please do your best to help unbelievers to know God.
2. Believe (verses 7-9)
David rejoices in the word of God he hears in the sanctuary. God said he would divide Shechem and give it to David and his chosen people as an inheritance. He promised not only to Shechem, but also to the Valley of Succoth, where Israel's enemies are now. David rejoiced in the word of God because he believed his promise. Faith begins with believing in the promises of God. We should not be discouraged if the fulfillment of our promises is not visible and unobtainable right now. You must look at the promise with the eyes of faith until the end. What promise has God made to us? Do you believe that His promises will come true? Hear every word that proceeds from the mouth of God with joy and expect it to be fulfilled.
3. I will pray (verses 10-13)
David believed in the promise that God was with him. He also believed in victory. It seems that God has turned away and forsaken him now, but he was convinced that in the end he would win. He also knew that it would be foolish to ask for help, so he decided to turn to God for help and depend on him alone. However, relying solely on the invisible God is not an easy task. It is easy for us to depend on people we see, money, power, and fame. But all of these are like mists that will disappear after a while. What do we rely on now? Do you still think you can live with my efforts? Do you think life's joys and sorrows depend on circumstances and circumstances? Make up your mind to look to God alone. And live by his power.
Depending on how you deal with the crisis, you can succeed or fail. When we face a crisis, we can overcome any crisis if we believe in God's promises and pray earnestly for victory and fight. And in the end you will sing the praise of victory.
<Prayer>
1. Always trust in God's promises and let us look only to the Lord!
2. Let the anointing of the Holy Spirit overflow during the worship service!
3. Raise up faithful warriors of intercession so that the flames of intercession may be kindled!
