Introduction

Curse is the opposite of blessing. And it is to commit many sins with words. The apostle Paul said that unclean words should not come out of your mouth (Ephesians 4:29). And the author of Proverbs said, "A city prospers at the blessing of the upright, but falls at the mouth of the wicked" (Proverbs 11:11). But the curse is that the person who does it is more cursed than the person who receives it.

What about a person who likes to curse others?

1. He is cursed. (Verses 18~19)

“You cursed him as a garment, so let the curse seep into his belly like water, and into his belly like oil. Let his curse always be with him as the garment he wears, and always as the girdle of his girdles.”

This is to know what punishment the curser will receive. Therefore, you should not curse. In particular, they curse their children, which is a big mistake.

2. Blessings go far away (verse 17).

“He loved to curse, so let that curse be upon him. He hated to bless, so let the blessings turn away from him.”

The Christian concept of blessing refers to spiritual blessings. Then, think about the blessings of the flesh. It is not said that receiving is a blessing, but giving is a blessing (Acts 20:35). And especially, the word blessing does not mean to receive, but to give (Genesis 14:19). So, if you bless others, God will bless you. When Job prayed for his friend, he was healed of his illness and received twice as much money as he had before (Job 42:10). So, if you like to curse, your blessings will be far from you. Therefore, those who desire to receive blessings should bless others.

3. You will be rewarded (verse 20).

“Lord, let those who accuse me and those who curse me like this be put under such a curse.”

This can be thought of the principle of sowing, where you reap what you sow. Whatever a man sows, he will also reap. If you think that you are doing evil and wishing to be blessed, you are seriously mistaken. Blessing is for a person who has done something that will be blessed, and one cannot do something that is cursed and want to be blessed. No matter how much you want it, it won't be that easy. We must not forget that if we do evil, we will always be rewarded. Therefore, if you want to receive blessings, the first step is to do the things that will bring you happiness.

conclusion

Don't forget that people reap what they sow, bless instead of cursing, do good instead of evil, and work hard instead of laziness to receive divine blessings from God.
