Hymns: Chapter 28. Descendant of the Source of Blessings
Date: May 25, 2010 (Tuesday) 5 am
Venue: Jeonju Yebut Church Small Worship Room
We want to start the day together by meditating on the words of the psalm from this morning and receive grace. The Psalms are made up of 150 Psalms, and Psalms 1 and 2 are like the entrance to the Psalms. This is because the two foundations of Old Testament faith are the Law (Part 1) and Prophecy (Part 2). The fate of the blessed and the sinner, the righteous and the wicked will be different depending on what kind of attitude you take.
Everyone likes luck. It is rare that people in our country like good luck. The New Year's greeting is 'Happy'.
The character 'fortune' is also written on the gate. When spring arrives, even in the marriage coma of ‘Ipchun Daegil, Sisi Gaemun Manbokrae’, blankets, pillows, cushions, jeogori, spoons, chopsticks, etc…
There is no place for the character of luck to fall. We who believe in Jesus also like blessings. The name of this revival meeting is also ‘Blessing Crusade’.
So, what is the true blessing? In our country, since ancient times, the five blessings have been longevity, wealth, wealth, strength, peace, virtue, and virtue. ) says. However, these may or may not be blessings. The so-called five blessings in the world are not true blessings.
Today's psalm tells us what true blessing is. So, who is truly blessed?
1. Blessed people have different standing positions (verse 1).
Blessed people have a different place to stand. A blessed person is a person who stands in a blessed place.
There are many places to avoid in the world we live in. The place of the wicked, the place of sinners, the place of pride should be avoided.
“In everything count, take the good, and forsake the evil in every form” (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22).
So where should we look? It is a place of grace, a place of blessing. The place of early morning prayer, which starts the day with the Word and prayer, is a blessed place. You must stand in the place of Sunday worship, Wednesday worship, and regional worship.
“A day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere; it is better to be a gatekeeper to my God than to dwell in the tents of the wicked” (Psalm 84:10).
Please pray for the place of grace.
2. Blessed people think differently. (Verse 2)
What do you always think about? With what do you rejoice and rejoice? What are you meditating on? Blessed are those who rejoice in the Word and live by meditating on the Word.
We usually forget bad memories for a long time and good memories quickly. I only remember bad memories, sad memories, both in my relationship with my husband and wife and my children. It is said that anger and violent behavior begin with bad memories of childhood. In technical jargon, this is called ‘narcissistic personality disorder’.
Even when we pray, there are times when we meditate on the person we hate. There are times when I meditate on bad memories. Then, instead of healing, more anger builds up.
We must remember the Word and meditate on the Word. Meditating on the Word means meditating on Jesus on the cross. Even today, you are blessed to meditate on the Word given at dawn, and to live by the Word today as well.
“How I love Your law! I meditate on it all day long” (Psalm 119:97).
Read the Bible every day, keep it in your heart, and live by its words.
3. Blessed are those who do well in everything they do (verse 3).
The Bible compares people to trees. The blessed man is not a tree that withers and dies. It is a fresh tree full of vitality. Like a tree rooted by a stream, there is never a drought.
Israel is a very dry land. After a few rains in the spring and fall of the year, it rarely rains all year round. Therefore, any tree not planted by the stream will wither away.
Where are our roots in life? before attention? world? The people of the world may be well for a while, but soon they will wither and die.
A tree planted by a stream has strong roots, so it is not shaken at all. On the other hand, the people of the world are like chaff that is blown by the wind (verses 4-5). When the wind blows, all of them are blown away.
I live in vain hope. However, blessed people have eternal hope, so they are always full of joy.
“The righteous will prosper like a palm tree, and grow like a poplar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the Lord, and they will prosper in the palaces of our God. )
May this blessing come upon you.
