David discusses the sin of the wicked in Psalm 36. Perhaps this is not our sin today. It is not easy for a person to look back on himself and live consciously that he is a sinner. This is because all human beings become self-centered, express themselves and be proud of themselves, boasting of their dignity. What sins should we forsake?

1. We must cast away our rebellious heart (verse 1).

Perhaps this is David's self-reflection of days gone by and a monologue.

Paul said that God gave a conscience to the Gentiles who did not know the law. Therefore, all human beings are supposed to vomit their sins through the conscience of their hearts. However, if someone is sinning and does not feel fear before God, this is a really big deal.

Paul said, “The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18). The reason is, “The things that may be known of God are revealed in them, and God has made them visible to them” (Romans 1:19).

If someone could not believe in God because he did not know God and had no choice but to sin, it would be an unfair arguing with God. It's natural that you couldn't believe it because you didn't know it. But the Bible says, “From the foundation of the world His invisible things, His eternal power and Divinity, have been clearly seen and understood in all things that have been made, therefore they are without excuse” (Romans 1:20).

Some say, Wouldn't it be unfair if judgment came to those who lived on this earth before Jesus was born? Yes, it would be unfair if you judge them for not believing in Jesus. However, the Bible says, 'Those who have done good will come out to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment' (John 5:29), and 'Everyone will be judged according to their deeds' (Revelation 20:13). . Therefore, the Lord who created human beings and is in control of all life and death will judge the soul with God's justice.

2. We must give up our rebellious behavior (verses 3-4).

It means the lust that seeps in sinners.

The Bible writes, “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled, for God will judge fornicators and adulterers” (Hebrews 13:4). Many people try to be fairly tolerant of their fornication. Even though he knows that all of this is forbidden by God, he tries to be quite generous with his actions. However, this is also the biggest factor in not receiving the inheritance of the kingdom of heaven.

In the end, David appeals to the Lord GOD for mercy. David said, 'God, how valuable is your steadfast man? People take refuge under the shadow of your wings’ (verse 7). No matter how good we are and how good we are, we are unable to control our own tongue and body. We always fall, break, and stumble in our sins.

David sang of Your mercy, saying, “You are the fountain of life. In the light of the Lord, we see a brightly open future” (verse 9). Many years had passed before David made this confession. What he feared is not the enemy who seeks life, but the sin of destroying the life of the source before the Lord.

Therefore, David said, “To those who love the Lord, the Lord Himself may show unfailing love. To the upright in heart, show your righteousness without change” (verse 10). To know the Lord is to know the mercy of the Lord. I confess that I am a sinner and see the light of the Lord in your lovingkindness. I pray that your loving righteousness be with you forever.
