Venue: Jeonju Yebut Church Small Worship Room

If we look into David's inner side, there are many aspects that have no choice but to conform to God's heart. Today, we would like to examine the inner faith that conforms to God's heart through David's song recorded in Psalm 40.

1. They had faith rooted in the Word of God (verse 8).

“The Law of the Lord” is the Word of the Lord. David rejoiced in doing the Lord's will because the words of God took root in his heart. Since all the right actions of faith are manifested when we live on the basis of the Word, we must not despise the Word. Those who love God keep His commandments. If a person who says he loves God ignores the Word and lives, he loves other things more than God. When we value God's Word, take root and act on it, God is very pleased.

2. He had faith to reveal God (verses 9-10).

David did not shut his mouth to God. He did not hide God from the gatherings of men. Thoroughly, David showed that he was the God of God. As David (Isaiah 43:7) said, he was trying to fulfill his duty to represent God as a created being, created for the glory of God.

3. He had faith to seek God's help (verse 13).

According to (Psalm 40:12), David had problems both inside and outside. His external problems are uncountable disasters. And his inner troubles are more sins than the hair of his head. So David exclaims in (Psalm 40:13).

"Lord, be generous with me and rescue me. Lord, help me quickly."

David does not move forward on his own in the face of various issues that are being quarreled inside and out. The problem of calamity and the problem of sin are all things that have a powerful power that no man can do.

So David asks for help. If you ask God for help, God is rather satisfied. Because God is a helper.

If the Lord helps you, there is nothing to worry about. The Lord is standing there to help, but the unbelief that turns away from Him and does what I want hurts God's heart.

Ask for help in any case. When you say, "God! Meet people today, take a test today, and complete the blueprint today. Help me," God is pleased. He doesn't hate it and he doesn't turn away. He knows my needs and helps me in detail.

The faith that David had to become a man after God's own heart today is permeated in this Psalm 40 song. If we too please God, our lives will be filled with praise.
