God delights in us praising and glorifying Him in the temple. Although God is worshiped and glorified throughout the universe, He takes special pleasure in meeting His chosen people in the temple.

1. God has given us a temple (verses 1-3).

In the early days of Israel, there was no temple. It took a long time for the tabernacle, which was built as a mobile device in the wilderness, to become a temple. God allowed Solomon to build the temple only after 480 years had passed since the Israelites left Egypt.

The provision of the temple is a grace that God has bestowed upon us humans. He opened the way for us to meet God through the temple. The temple is where God's people glorify God, where God is worshiped.

2. We must respect the temple (verses 4-7).

The temple is a refuge where God Himself protects us. Therefore, those who persecute the saints staying in the temple are thoroughly destroyed by God.

The site of the Jerusalem Temple was occupied by the Arabs in A.D. 638, and now the Golden Mosque, one of the three major mosques in Islam, is located there. Thousands of tourists come from all over the world, but Jews do not go there. He was afraid of stepping on the site of the Holy of Holies. They identify the temple with God. We too must cherish the temple.

We must not take the church life lightly. Since God is holy, everything that has to do with God is holy. That's why you should always be careful in the temple.

(Proverbs 8:17), “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me.” Those who honor God will be honored, and those who yearn for God will meet God. Therefore, I believe that when you come to the temple of God, you should always have a heart to respect God and the temple.

3. We must love the temple (verse 9).

No matter what the saints do, they should always think of spiritual things first. Your relationship with God comes first. It is most important to always go to the temple and follow the path of grace.

We must not lose sight of God while following the world. That is why we must continue to love God even when we are in tribulation and to love the temple where God is glorified.

(Psalm 84:10), the psalmist confessed, “A day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere; it is better to be a gatekeeper to my God than to dwell in the tents of the wicked.” As long as you can stay in the temple of the Lord, you can be a gatekeeper. I believe that we should also long for the Lord's temple and consider staying in the temple as the greatest blessing.
