Who is the fool in this world?

1. A fool does evil (verse 1).

A fool in the Bible is someone who does not believe in God and says that there is no God. If you do not believe in God, you will become idolatrous and commit irreversible evil. Therefore, anyone who says there is no God is a fool.

(John 1:4-5) says, “In him was life, and the life was the light of men, and the light shined in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it.” It is that people who live in darkness did not recognize Jesus, who came as the light. A fool does not like light, he likes darkness. It is our fallen nature to pursue evil rather than good.

However, because they believe that God exists, they always live with Him in mind. We, who believe that God lives, live our lives to please and glorify God. It is the duty of the saints to glorify God. And not only do I please God, but I also have to be happy.

Foolish people who do not know God do abominable evils and love darkness, but believers rejoice in God who dwells in the light. We should rejoice that the morning prayer comes out and enjoy God for the rest of our lives. There is no more precious blessing than to glorify God.

A life without relationship with God has no value. If we distance ourselves from God, shun the Word, and neglect God's grace, we will eventually be abandoned before God. The greatest blessing in this world is to draw near to God and enjoy Him.

2. Foolish people do not seek God (verses 2-3).

No matter how closely God examines, there is not one righteous person on this earth. Because we cannot find God on our own. That is why God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to us. Through that grace, not only can we come before God, but we also receive the blessing of the Spirit.

(Ephesians 1:3 5) “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, who chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be in love He predestined us to be his sons through Jesus Christ, according to his good pleasure, that he might be holy and blameless before him.”

God has already chosen us before the foundation of the world. It was predestined that we would become sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Since the purpose of that predestination is to glorify God, we must do good and do God's will. Although the human mind cannot comprehend it, God's plan is limitless.

3. A fool will be judged (verses 4-5).

Those who do evil and do not repent before God will lead a spiritually unstable life. In particular, those who persecute God's people must be condemned.

If the God who rules all things in the universe does not protect us, no matter how safe we are, our lives are filled with anxiety and fear. Fear is evidence of not drawing near to God. Those who turn away from God and do evil are always afraid. But we must live a fear-free life because we believe and depend on God.
