As people live in this world, they are attacked and hated by unexpected people. So they suffer, sigh, and completely abolish food and drink. Here we learn that the psalmist's lament is also human suffering. There is oppression from people. (Psalm 55:3) So there is a heart of pain (Psalm 55:4) There is fear and trembling. (Psalm 55:5) This man, who is suffering from unbearable suffering, is frustrated and seeks an exit. . Anywhere to escape? Who is this psalmist? That's David. What makes David's affliction so intense is that his attackers are not inherently enemies. Those who became David's pain and act as enemies here were those who were close to him.
How was David able to solve this difficulty?
First, there was a knee on which to pray (verse 1).
Those who can pray are not failures in life. As long as prayer continues, that person's life can be in the face of change and restoration. A person without prayer is at a dead end. But as long as he can pray, his last possibility is not over. Prayer is a telephone line connected to God. Even when everything is over, as long as there is prayer, an emergency bell can ring in the sky.
Can you pray? We are not yet at the stage of giving up. David did not give up on the tomorrow of his life because he could pray. Those who pray will become people of faith like Ottogi.
Second, there was hope of salvation (verse 16).
The psalmist David had hope. You know that God will save you if you cry out, so how can you not overflow with hope?
(Psalm 50:15) “Call on me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you, and you will glorify me.”
The hope of salvation makes us overcome any dreadful circumstance. 'Victor Franklin' is a man who survived Hitler's concentration camp. He is a person who advocated a semantic therapy called 'logotherapy', which means that those who have the meaning and meaning to live do not die and live in a healthy camp. However, those who do not have the meaning of living in the camp have no hope for tomorrow, so they become ill and weak and are sent to the gas chambers.
I am in trouble, but God rescues me. Because God lives and hears my agonizing groans, God saves us. Those who have this little thing as a line of hope have a reason to live, so they endure it with superhuman patience.
Third, I had faith to depend on the Lord (verses 22-23).
The psalmist's faith is clear. I believe that the fate of those who bring suffering will be short-lived. So I am sure that this suffering will not last long. Therefore, your decision is based solely on trusting the Lord. Only Lord, only You are the One I can rely on. David, who has the Lord to depend on, is not shaken. There is a corner to believe, but there is no reason to be shaken.
David, the psalmist, overcame all fears and afflictions with prayer, hope, and faith to lean on. Today, as we read the psalms, our hearts are filled with gratitude. Because all the suffering I have in my life is David's suffering. Also, because it is faith that made me stand up from where I wanted to die.
