Humans sometimes have very unusual memories. In many cases, the painful, hurt, and difficult memories remain in our memory, but we quickly forget the good, the happy, and the grateful. Positive people remember good things. The more graceful people are, the more they remember what God has given them.
You have to remember. The life of a saint is a life of remembrance. A life that remembers God. Today's text is 'A Psalm to commemorate and remember. The present situation is ridiculed. People looking to harm him were everywhere, and David, who had no place to live and no place to stay, was wandering. David, who was having a hard time, was poor and needy.
Today (verse 1) we cry out, “Deliver me.” How difficult and difficult it must have been, I cannot bear it anymore. Would you confess, ‘Lord, help me quickly’?
Then David remembered the Lord. We too must remember the Lord. It is important to build up prayers on a regular basis. When I am in an emergency, the prayers I have been accumulating and the name I have always called out are pouring out of my memory and from my lips.
Please accept David's exhortation in today's text. He was helped in a crisis. If I too want help in a crisis, I must remember the Lord. What will happen if we remember the Lord in times of crisis?
1. The Lord helps (v. 1).
This is David's confession. Lord help. Do not seek any other help. Save the Lord. Where are we looking for help? Where are you crying out? Do it before God. I cry out to God to help me. God is a God who helps. And be sure. God helps. God is my help and my shield.
He helps those who pray. Help those who remember. He helps those who cry.
2. The Lord gives victory (verses 2-3).
I sing of triumphant assurance that those who tease, despise, and ridicule Me will withdraw for their shame. He has given us the victory over the world. David knew the end. He knew the end of Saul.
David was given the victory by the Lord. You have given me victory. He gives victory to those who remember God.
3. The Lord brings joy (verses 4-5).
God gives a confession of joy on the lips of those who seek Him. Even now, there are many people who are difficult, difficult, poor, and needy. God help me And around me there are the cries of people struggling like me, people tougher than me. When they pray, help them too.
David intercedes. David prays for himself. He knew that joy comes to those who seek the Lord, so these intercessory prayers can come out of his mouth.
The Lord will bless us today. He will give strength to those who pray. He will pour out new powers. Believe that you will be renewed by the Holy Spirit.
