Psalm 72 is a psalm that prays for the revival of this righteous nation under God's rule without being corrupted forever. Today's text, Psalm 72, has the heading "The Psalms of Solomon". However, it seems that many people think of it as a 'poem written for Solomon' rather than a 'Psalm of Solomon' written by Solomon (verse 20). This is a poem that taught us that it should go on like this.

Through today's sermon, we can think of a few things:

First, God alone is the source of wisdom and is just. (Verses 1-2)

It is most important for us to know right away who God is. How can a person who does not know God ask God for His judgment and justice! Knowing God means living with God in the end. This means that we must constantly apply God's word to us through the Bible in our lives.

Second, we must immediately recognize the purpose of praying and asking God.

We need to ask ourselves the questions of what am I praying for right now, and what is my prayer really for? Solomon's plea to God for judgment and justice was not to exalt Solomon's own name or achieve his own achievement. It was to rule the Israelites whom God had entrusted to Solomon with the word of God.

Third, I believed that God would hear my prayers and offered a prayer of thanksgiving (verses 18-19).

Solomon was never seen in his generation. Nevertheless, he said “Amen, Amen” with the assurance that God would surely answer his prayer. God has fulfilled this prayer. That is through Jesus Christ. Sometimes, we become the stumbling block to believe only when we see and touch with our own eyes. Jesus willingly appeared to Thomas and showed him. And then, what did you say to Thomas who believed?

“Do you believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and believe” (John 20:29).

In some cases, they live in the illusion that only what they see is true. But even if we can see the other person with our eyes, we cannot see the other person's heart. You can only see the outward appearance. And I want to see the results through my own eyes. Didn't the writer of Hebrews say through (Hebrews 11:1) that "faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen"!

There is hope for the future of our country because the saints who start the day with fellowship with the Lord, put the words of the Lord into practice in the field, and get to know God more every day are keeping their prayers. A just God will surely hear the prayers of all of us who pray with mourning and compassion for our neighbors who are suffering from poverty and injustice. I hope that today will be a blessed life filled with blessed times praising God who rules the world according to God's providence.
