1. We must take care of our hearts (verses 11-12).
God never forsakes his chosen people and helps us wherever we are. When you see the wicked, things seem to be going well right now, and there is no problem even if you don't pray, but God's chosen people are not. Because our life is a spiritual life, we can't live arbitrarily.
The saint manages two lives. One is that the outer man manages the physical life, and the other is that the inner man manages the spiritual life. However, because the soul is dead, the wicked manage only the physical life. So, they care only about what to eat, what to drink, and what to wear.
The people chosen by God are those who control their hearts, so they must come before God and eat the Word. A person who cares for the heart must always be connected with God. It shouldn't break. That is why we must come to church diligently and hold on to the line of the Word and prayer.
Just because you go to church doesn't mean you'll get better right away. A person's blessing is within. Happiness is in it and joy is in it. The joy and peace that is on the inside gradually reveals itself outwardly, and eventually the outward appearance also gets better. When things go well, everything goes well.
If you pray and listen to the Word with me at dawn, the soul within you will be embraced in God's arms and you will receive grace. The most precious thing for believers is to obey and pray according to the Word of God. God does not abandon His people who come to the temple and leave everything before God and pray, but He always protects them.
2. The righteous are eternal (verses 13-14).
In the Old Testament, the Israelites always had problems. Gentiles who worship idols seem to have no problem, but rather, the chosen people who sacrificed before God and kept the law suffered more tribulation and difficulties. However, the Gentile nations, which were strong and wealthy at that time, eventually all fell. There are no nations left, such as Moab, Edom, Ammon, Assyria, Babylon, Philistia, and Amalek. Only the Jews who suffered much are still left.
The righteous do not perish and are not forsaken even when they suffer. In due time, God will restore it. So the Jews compare the righteous to an olive tree. If you go to Israel, there is an olive tree that is more than 2,000 years old, and it always sprouts from that barren land. Likewise, the life of the righteous overcomes difficulties and always sprouts.
So, even if there are many problems, the saints do not need to be discouraged or worried. You shouldn't see the problem. The person who climbs the mountain is not afraid of the mountain, and the sailors who sail the sea are not afraid of the waves. If there are no waves, the boat cannot move forward. When there are various problems in our lives, we need to pray more and hold on to the Lord because of them. Rather, we can receive grace through problems.
Just like the life in the wilderness that the Israelites experienced when they left Egypt, God gives us grace. When there is no water, he makes water come out of the rock, when there is no food, he gives manna and quail, and when he is bitten by a fiery serpent, he heals him with a brass serpent. God Himself solves it.
I should not think that I have lived my life solving problems with my own abilities until today. I am lacking, but with God's help, all my problems are solved and I am protected. That is why we need not be discouraged no matter what difficulties we face. If we depend on God, we believe that God will help us and always give us victory.
