Title Qualifications of Heavenly Workers

Contents

Hymn: 351, “To Jesus, who redeemed me”

Meditation: ‘Use me as a faithful worker’

Confession of Faith: Apostles' Creed

Text: Matthew 4:18-22

Key Verse: “He said, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19).

Word: The first purpose that God calls people is to give them salvation, and the second purpose is to make them workers. In order to be used as God's servants, you must have several qualifications.

1. Workers in heaven must have God's calling. God's calling means God's calling. In the Bible, many workers are introduced, but not a single worker has been used without a calling.

Moses was called by God while faithfully tending the sheep of Jethro his father-in-law on Mount Horeb, Samuel was called by God in the temple, and Paul was called by the Lord while going to Damascus to arrest the believers in Jesus.

Peter and Andrew were called by Jesus Christ while casting their nets on the Sea of Galilee, and James and John were called by the Lord while they were casting their nets torn in their boat. In this way, the Lord calls the workers and uses them.

2. Heavenly workers have a mission. The God who called the workers always entrusted them with the mission.

In Exodus 3:10, God, who called Moses, said to Moses, “Now I will send you to Pharaoh, and you will bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt to me.” In verse 19, Jesus gave Peter and Andrew the mission of evangelism. I need to understand exactly what God's mission is for me.

3. Heavenly workers must have loyalty. Peter and Andrew who were called in verse 20 left their nets and followed Jesus. In verse 22, it says that James and John left the boat and their father and followed Jesus. This attitude of giving up your job or leaving your business and family behind and following the Lord is loyalty.

Moses gave up his job in order to faithfully carry out his mission, and Paul also gave up his public membership in order to faithfully carry out his mission. In 1 Corinthians 4:2, it is said, “What one entrusted with asks is fidelity.”

saints, In a broad sense, we are all called to be workers in the kingdom of heaven. First of all, I would like to congratulate you on recovering your sense of calling and mission and fulfilling your mission faithfully.

Prayer: Heavenly Father. Please restore us a sense of calling, a sense of mission, and loyalty. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Emen.
