Because faith has life, a living faith must grow. Strictly speaking, when we say that we are saints, we must nail the old person to death and become a completely new person. There are 15 lists of sins in the text, and they can be grouped into four categories.
first sexual sin
It is perfectly natural for men and women to react over the opposite sex. The problem is that those thoughts and imaginations go beyond the limit and do strange things. In any case, sex is an instinct for humans, but when the instinct becomes excessive, it becomes a sexual sin.
second religious sin
If you feel the need to be absolutely dependent on something, you are an idol. Knowledge is knowledge, children are children, money is money, status is status… If there is something that you depend on more than God, hope for more, and ask for more, that is an idol. To put it simply, if he is crazy about something, that is his religion. When something goes crazy, it has the power to push away everything else. Even Jesus is pushed away. Religious sin is to extend to anything other than Jesus.
Third, the sin that destroys brotherhood.
Instinctively, it is much easier for us to hate people than to love them. Our instincts are predisposed to react in the direction of hate. However, the benefit of the community must be put first. People need to change the habit of focusing on “I” when speaking. You have to think from the perspective of the community. If we speak, act, and judge with our own thoughts rather than the interests of the community, the community becomes difficult and brotherhood is destroyed.
Fourth, the sin of intemperance
Temperance means self-control. What could be more important than keeping the Way of Moderation, neither too little nor too much? Much of our lives respond to intemperance rather than temperance. It's easier to spit than to hold on. That way, something seems to be piercing through and the old congestion seems to go down. This is proof that it is so difficult to cut off.
We are God's people. If we still respond to the demands of the world whether the principles of the earth are natural or still amusing, then we are evidence that something is wrong. If there are always two minds fighting within us, how can we win the battle? The Bible gives us a definitive answer to this. That person is the Holy Spirit. He is by our side to help us when we do not know where we are going.
Seek the Holy Spirit when two hearts fight each other. Then, instead of responding to the lusts of the flesh, you respond to the will of God. In the name of the Lord, I pray that all of our saints will die to the earth, respond to God, always rejoice and give thanks, and live victoriously with the power that the Lord gives us, in the name of the Lord.
